Claude Giroux

Claude Giroux (French pronunciation: ​[klod ʒiʁu]; born January 12, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and captain of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Flyers selected Giroux 22nd overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to playing in the NHL, Giroux played his major junior career with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where he helped the team win a 2008 President's Cup and earned the Guy Lafleur Trophy as the 2008 playoff MVP. Internationally, he won a gold medal with Team Canada in the 2008 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Giroux made his debut with the Flyers in February 2008 and joined the roster full-time midway through the 2008–09 season. In 2011, after the blockbuster trades of Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, Giroux took over the role of the club's first line centre. Giroux was the club's top point-scorer in the 2010–11, 2011–12 and 2013–14 seasons. In 2012 and 2014, Giroux finished third in the League in point-scoring. He was named the captain of the Flyers at the start of the 2012–13 season.

Claude Giroux (July 13, 1956) is a Canadian-born midget wrestler whose career spans over 20 years. He is still active in the Canadian Independent circuit. Giroux's biggest exposure came when he performed as Doink the Clown's sidekick Dink in the World Wrestling Federation between 1993 and 1995. Outside of his stint as Dink the Clown, Giroux also performed in the WWF as Tiger Jackson in the 1980s and as The Macho Midget and Little Hulkster in the later half of the 1990s.

Giroux made his debut in the late 1970s after being trained by Little Brutus and Hall of Famer Sky Low Low under the name “Tiger Jackson”. With Midget Wrestling being seen as a sideshow to the “tall version”, Giroux tended to travel from promotion to promotion instead of staying in one area for a long time. In the early days of his career, Giroux wrestled in many National Wrestling Alliance territories, for the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, and in Germany, as well. Giroux also made appearances in the World Wrestling Federation from 1982, often teaming with his brother Lionel Giroux who wrestled as ”Little Beaver”.
