Chris "The Bulldog" Parker (born 1964) is an American sports radio personality. He is the co-host of Buffalo's WGR-550's afternoon show from 3:00 until 7:00PM along with Mike Schopp. That program was also simulcast on WROC AM 950 in Rochester until the Summer of 2011. Besides the weekday show, "Schopp and the Bulldog" have also hosted a postgame Buffalo Bills show after every Bills regular season contest from Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls, Ontario, but most recently from WGR's Southwestern Avenue Tailgate stage at Ralph Wilson Stadium, or the studio. The post game show primarily consists of phone calls from fans and recorded press conference clips from key players and coaches.

Parker worked at a pizzeria while doing a part-time weekend call-in show on WBEN before hosting a weeknight program on WBEN-AM in Buffalo. When Howard Simon, now WGR's morning man, left WBEN to join the Empire Sports Network, Parker became the full-time WBEN nightly host. When WGR switched to all-sports after being purchased by Entercom Communications, Parker was placed on the morning show with Tom Bauerle before moving to afternoons. Parker is a lifelong fan of Buffalo sports teams and often recalls memories from past seasons. He is married with two young children and currently resides in North Buffalo. He has an interest in motor sports, including his own motorcycle. His favorite bands include The Clash and Wilco.

Chris Parker (quarterback)

Chris Parker (born December 19, 1964) is a former American football quarterback who played two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Denver Dynamite and Sacramento Attack. He first enrolled at Saddleback College before transferring to San Bernardino Valley College and then California State University, Northridge. He attended Aquinas High School in San Bernardino, California. Parker was also a member of the London Capitals and Los Angeles Rams.

Early years

Parker played high school football for the Aquinas High School Falcons. He saw time mostly as a defensive back.

College career

Saddleback College

Parker first played college football for the Saddleback Gauchos as a free safety and quarterback.

San Bernardino Valley College

Parker transferred to play for the San Bernardino Valley College Indians where he was the starting quarterback.

California State University, Northridge

Parker Cal State Northridge Matadors form 1985 to 1986. He completed 232 of 424 passes for 2,658 yards and 19 touchdowns in 1985. The attempts and completions, along with the 2,773 yards in total offense he generated, were school records. As a punter, Parker averaged 40.6 yards and one of his 48 punts traveled 72 yards in 1985. In 1986, He complete 81 of 158 pass attempts for 1,167 yards and a twelve touchdowns. He also punted 44 times for 1,763 yards for a 40.1 average. The Matadors' record improved from 4-7 to 8-3 and the team came within one minute in their final conference game of claiming the Western Football Conference title in 1986.
