Chris Morgan (journalist)
Christopher Morgan (29 July 1952 – 30 May 2008) was a Welsh journalist.
Morgan was born in Cardiff and educated at Cardiff High School, and the United World College of the Atlantic in the Vale of Glamorgan. He graduated in 1976 in theology from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
Morgan began his media career in broadcasting in 1977 in the BBC's religious department. Morgan trained as a journalist from 1978 at BBC Wales, reporting for both BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio 4, and latterly BBC One. Morgan worked for BBC Wales television, where during the early 1980s he became one of the main presenters on the evening news programme Wales Today.
After leaving BBC Wales, Morgan moved to London in 1990 to work as a reporter for Thames News and TV-am. Between 1990 and 1997, he presented Sunday for Radio 4, and became religious affairs correspondent for The Sunday Times in 1997.
A committed Anglo-Catholic, Morgan was best man at the wedding of Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury in 1981.

Chris Morgan (powerlifter)
Chris Morgan (born 16 March 1973) is an openly gay British powerlifter. He is a Global Ambassador to the Federation of Gay Games and a Seven time World Champion in his sport.
He competed in the 75 kg Open class from 1998 to 2006. He won the silver medal in the World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation Finals in Atlanta in November 2004, the gold medal in December 2005 at the finals in Turin and the Bronze medal in November 2006 at the finals in Ireland. Chris is one of the earliest openly gay male athletes to win World Championship medals in his sport.
Following a break from competing in 2007 due to illness Chris returned in the 82.5 kilo Open class, this time mainly competing in the World Drug-Free Powerlifting, single event championships. He has since won Silver in Antwerp 2008 (Squat) (Senior), Gold in Antwerp 2008 (Deadlift) (Senior), Gold in Bradford 2009 (Deadlift) (Open), Bronze in Milton Keynes 2009 (Powerlifting) (Open), Gold in Moscow 2010 (Deadlift) (Open), Gold in Autun 2012 (Deadlift) (Open), Gold in Antwerp 2013 (Deadlift) (Open), Gold in Antwerp 2013 (Deadlift) (Masters 1), Silver in Dusseldord 2014 (Masters 1) and Bronze in Düsseldorf 2014 (Open).
Chris Morgan (rower)
Chris Morgan (born 15 December 1982) is a two-time world champion and Olympic medal winning rower from Adelaide, South Australia.
Morgan began his athletic career as a competitive walker, however he took up rowing after taking part in a rowing machine (ergo) competition held by the Adelaide University Boat Club during the University of Adelaide Orientation Week. After winning the competition with the fastest time, Morgan was asked to join the Boat Club and joined the "Learn to Row" program, shortly before beginning his competitive rowing career.
During Morgan's first season of rowing in 2003/04, Morgan won a gold medal in the World University Games, and was later selected for the Australian rowing team in 2005, training with the Australian Institute of Sport.
Morgan competed in the Men's Quadruple Scull event for the Australian Olympic team at the Beijing 2008 Olympics. His crew won the heat in a world's best time of 5:36.20, beating the previous fastest time, set by Poland, by a second. The Australians finished fourth in the final.
