Chris Brown

Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, dancer, rapper and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. Having signed with Jive Records in 2004, Brown released his self-titled debut studio album the following year. It peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 and was later certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With his first single "Run It!" peaking atop the US Billboard Hot 100, Brown became the first male artist as a lead since Diddy in 1997 to have his debut single top the chart. His second album Exclusive (2007) spawned his second Hot 100 number one "Kiss Kiss", in addition to "With You" and "Forever". The album was also certified double platinum by the RIAA.

In 2009, Brown received much media attention after pleading guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna; he was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service. His third album Graffiti was released later that year, and included the top-twenty single "I Can Transform Ya". Brown's fourth album F.A.M.E. (2011) became his first to top the Billboard 200; it spawned the successful singles "Yeah 3x", "Look at Me Now", and "Beautiful People". F.A.M.E. earned Brown his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Album at the 54th Grammy Awards. His fifth album Fortune was released in 2012. However, after the release of Exclusive, Brown's albums have not been well received commercially or by music critics, with the exception of X, which received a normalized rating of 63. Brown's seventh studio album Royalty was released on December 18, 2015.

Chris Brown (veterinarian)

Chris Brown (born 11 September, 1978) is an Australian veterinarian, television personality and author. He is best known for his television series Bondi Vet, which began screening in 2009. He is also a regular guest panellist on The Project and a co-host on The Living Room, as well as being a co-host on the Australian series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Early life and education

Brown was born and grew up in the suburbs of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, where his father was a local vet. He attended Merewether Heights Public School and Merewether High School. He graduated from Sydney University with First Class Honours in Veterinary Science in 2001.

Career

After graduating from university, Brown began work at a clinic in Sydney's North Shore. He travelled to remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory to treat animals.<ref name=cbs

Brown's first television presenting role as a vet was on Harry's Practice in 2003, for which he was nominated for a "Most Popular New Talent" Logie Award. He became a presenter on Channel Nine’s Burke's Backyard in 2004 and made regular appearances on Today. His first book, The Family Guide to Pets, was released in 2005 and sold over 25,000 copies. In 2008, he also began writing a column called "Pet Page" in Woman’s Day magazine and was interviewed on radio stations Triple M and Vega FM.

Chris Brown (cricketer, born 1973)

Christopher Mark "Chris" Brown (27 March 1973) is a former Cook Islands cricketer, who previously played representative cricket for Auckland at New Zealand domestic level. Born in Rarotonga, Brown's early cricket was played for Auckland under-age teams, and he went on to represent the New Zealand national under-19s in several matches as a right-arm fast bowler. Making his first-class debut during the 1993–94 season of the Shell Trophy, he took ten wickets in his debut match, and represented the New Zealand Cricket Academy twice later in the season.

Brown regularly played for Auckland in both the first-class and limited-overs competitions during the mid-1990s, despite the squad also including several international bowlers. However, after the 1997–98 season, he ceased playing for Auckland. Brown resumed his career in the early 2000s for the Cook Islands national cricket team, playing in regional competitions, and going on to play for a representative East Asia-Pacific team. He regularly captained the country of his birth throughout the remainder of the decade, becoming one of the only first-class players to play for the country. After retiring from playing, Brown took up umpiring, and is currently a member of New Zealand Cricket's Umpiring "A" Panel.

Chris Brown (American football coach)

Chris Brown (born July 3, 1974) is an American football coach and former player. He played for Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, from 1992 to 1995. He became the head coach at Fort Hays State in 2011.

Playing career

Brown is a 1996 graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. As a player for the Gorillas, he recorded 470 tackles in 43 starts during his career at free safety. Brown is one of only three Gorillas to earn All-American honors three times.

As a player, Brown was a unanimous All-American First Team selection his senior year, was named the CNN NCAA Division II National Player of the Year in 1995, and was named to the NCAA Quarter Century Team for all players from 1975 to 1999 at free safety. Brown recorded a record 21 tackles in the NCAA Division II National Championship as a freshman against Jacksonville State and was inducted into the Pittsburg State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
