Chorley F.C.

Chorley Football Club are a football club from Chorley, Lancashire, England. They were founded as a rugby union club in 1875 but switched to football in 1883. They have reached the FA Cup second round twice in 1986–87 and 1990–91. Their best performance in the FA Trophy was in 1995–96 when they reached the semi-final. They will play in the National League North for the 2015–16 season, after being promoted from Premier Division of the Northern Premier League in the 2013–14 season.

Gerry Luczka succeeded ex-Everton, Bolton Wanderers and England Schoolboys player Paul Lodge as manager in October 2006. Gerry Luczka was succeeded by Tony Hesketh in February 2008, who resigned in April 2009 to manage Lancaster City. Steve Waywell took charge for 2009–10 season, but following a poor end to the season he left the club by mutual consent and Garry Flitcroft, the former Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers player, was appointed to replace him. Garry had until just before the appointment been manager of rivals Leigh Genesis. Flitcroft promptly took the Magpies to promotion in the First Division North Play-offs in his first season in charge

Creation

The present Borough of Chorley was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the then existing municipal borough of Chorley with the urban districts of Adlington and Withnell, and Chorley Rural District.

APOEL FC (Greek: ΑΠΟΕΛ; short for Αθλητικός Ποδοσφαιρικός Όμιλος Ελλήνων Λευκωσίας, Athletikos Podosferikos Omilos Ellinon Lefkosias, "Athletic Football Club of Greeks of Nicosia") is a professional football club based in Nicosia, Cyprus. APOEL's greatest moment in the European competitions occurred in the season 2011–12, when the club participated in the group stages of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League (along with F.C. History

The Company was founded in 1972 as the manager of the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust under the name F&C Management Limited.

In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.

In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.

On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.
