Choi Yu-na (born October 4, 1997), better known by her stage name Yuju, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of South Korean girl group GFriend, garnering much attention for her powerful and wide ranged voice.
In 2011, she competed in the first season of K-pop Star 1, where she was eliminated in the first round.
In January 2015, Yuju made her debut as the main vocalist of south korean girl group GFriend with the song "Glass Bead", which gained much attention on various music charts. A few months later, the group released their second single "Me Gustas Tu", which gained even more attention. During the promotion of Me Gustas Tu, while promoting on a slippery stage, GFriend members, especially Yuju, fell on the stage seven times, which made them known internationally. Their next song, "Rough", won many times on the music show programs, and also achieved a "perfect all-kill" on Instiz's iChart 14 days after being released by topping both the real-time and daily charts of eight major Korean digital charts including Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver and Monkey3.
