James "Jim" Dale, MBE (born 15 August 1935), is an English actor, voice artist, and singer-songwriter. He is best known in the United Kingdom for his many appearances in the Carry On series of films and in the US for narrating the Harry Potter audiobook series, for which he received two Grammy Awards, and the ABC series Pushing Daisies, as well as starring in Pete's Dragon. In the 1970s, Dale was a member of the National Theatre Company.
Dale was born James Smith to William Henry and Miriam Jean (née Wells) Smith in Rothwell, Northamptonshire. He was educated at the Kettering Grammar School. He trained as a dancer for six years before his debut as a stage comic in 1951, at the age of seventeen and a half. He performed two years' national service in the Royal Air Force.
As a songwriter, Dale is best remembered as the lyricist for the film theme "Georgy Girl", which was nominated for an Academy Award in 1966. The song (performed by the Seekers) reached number 2 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart the following year, it also made number 3 in Dale's native UK and Number 1 in Australia, going on to sell over seven million records around the world. He also wrote lyrics for the title song of the films The Winter's Tale, Shalako, Twinky (Lola in the United States), and Joseph Andrews.
China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. The PRC is a one-party state governed by the Communist Party, with its seat of government in the capital city of Beijing. It exercises jurisdiction over 22 provinces; five autonomous regions; four direct-controlled municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Chongqing); two mostly self-governing special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau); and claims sovereignty over Taiwan.
Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and either the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the method of measurement. China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from forest steppes and the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. The Himalaya, Karakoram, Pamir and Tian Shan mountain ranges separate China from South and Central Asia. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the third- and sixth-longest in the world, run from the Tibetan Plateau to the densely populated eastern seaboard. China's coastline along the Pacific Ocean is 14,500 kilometres (9,000 mi) long, and is bounded by the Bohai, Yellow, East and South China Seas.
João Pedro dos Santos Gonçalves (born 15 April 1982 in Beja), known as China, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Cypriot club Nea Salamis Famagusta FC as a left back.
Well, like a thunderbolt cracks the Summer sky,
Like a big rocket bursts way up high,
Well, like a tidal wave comes steamrollin' through,
That's how you hit me, crazy for you!
Well, like a hurricane hits a railroad track,
Live an avalanche hits a mountain shack,
Well, like an earthquake tears a town in two,
That's how you hit me, crazy for you!
I'm crazy like a fox,
I'm crazy, so crazy for you;
When your love knocks,
Well open the door, 'cause I'm a-comin' through!
Well, like a match to a stick of dynamite,
Well, like a big steel train a-comin' through the
night,
Well, like a fork of lightnin' breaks the blue,
You hit me, crazy for you!
Well, like a thunderbolt cracks the Summer sky,
Like a big rocket bursts way up high,
Well, like a tidal wave comes steamrollin' through,
That's how you hit me, crazy for you!
Well, like a hurricane twists a railroad track,
Live an avalanche hits a mountain shack,
Well, like an earthquake tears a town in two,
That's how you hit me, crazy for you!
I'm crazy like a fox,
I'm crazy, so crazy for you;
When your love knocks,
Well open the door, 'cause I'm a-comin' through!
Well, like a match to a stick of dynamite,
Well, like a big steel train a-comin' through the
night,
Well, like a fork of lightnin' breaks the blue,
You hit me, crazy for you!
I'm a-crazy for you!
A-crazy for you!
