China is the debut studio album by hard rock band China, released in 1988, through record label Vertigo. The singles of this album were "Hot Lovin' Night", "Shout It Out" and "Wild Jealousy".

Chinese Taipei

"Chinese Taipei" is the name for the Republic of China (ROC) agreed upon in the Nagoya Resolution whereby the ROC and the People's Republic of China recognize each other when it comes to the activities of the International Olympic Committee. It has been used by the ROC as the basis when participating in various international organizations and events, including the Olympics, Miss Earth, Paralympics, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, Universiade and FIFA World Cup.

The term is deliberately ambiguous. To the PRC "Chinese Taipei" is ambiguous about the political status or sovereignty of the ROC/Taiwan; to the ROC it is a more inclusive term than just "Taiwan" (which is to the ROC just one part of China, which it, similarly to the PRC, claims to be the rightful government of the nation in its entirety, and to the PRC the use of "Taiwan" as a national name is associated with independence of the area from the PRC) and "Taiwan China" might be construed as a subordinate area to the PRC.

China (album)

China is a 1979 album by the Greek artist Vangelis. Although he had never been to China, he employed Chinese instruments and compositional styles on this concept album.

Although Polydor issued this album as POLD-5018, and re-issue as SPELP-19 the track timings of either were never accurate, and confusion exists as to the actual lengths of Chung Kuo and The Long March. Other country releases of China have different track lengths and are probably the more accurate releases of China with the proper track timings: the white noise and effects intro is actually "Chung Kuo" and the long melodic synthesizer track and piano ending is "The Long March" (e.g. on the 7" single release "The Long March Part-1/Part-2", POSP-57).

The track title "Chung Kuo" means "China" (or literally: middle kingdom) in Chinese, following Wade-Giles romanization, these days "Zhong Guo" (following Pinyin) is more common form.

2014 S/S

2014 S/S is the debut album of South Korean group WINNER. It was released on August 12, 2014 by the group's record label, YG Entertainment. The members were credited for writing the lyrics and composing the majority of the album's songs.

Upon release, 2014 S/S proved to be a success, topping both local and international charts. The title track "Empty" received an instant "all-kill" by topping the ten major real-time Korean music charts.

"Empty" and "Color Ring" became hits in South Korea, topping the Gaon Chart and Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart. All of the tracks charted on digital charts while the lead single, Empty, retained its number one position for more than a week on various charts. Internationally, 2014 S/S took the top spot in Billboard's World Album Chartand landed the top spot on iTunes "Top Album Charts" for Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The members produced the majority of the music for this album themselves, with the help of other producers such as Choice 37, Airplay, and others.

3's & 7's

"3s & 7s" is the second single by Queens of the Stone Age from their 2007 album Era Vulgaris. It was released on June 4, 2007 and followed the digital download-only "Sick, Sick, Sick". The single debuted at number one on the United Kingdom rock chart and number nineteen on the official UK top 40 singles chart.

Music video

A video for the song was shot in Joshua Tree and directed by Paul Minor, whose previous music promo work included "Starlight" by Muse. After a number of images were placed on photo-sharing website Flickr, the video in its entirety was added to iFilm on September 26, 2007, a full three months after the single's European release. The video itself is a trailer for a fake movie entitled "3s & 7s" and is shot in a similar style to the exploitation films of the '60s and the 2007 film Grindhouse. Two versions of the video exist. The first version of the video contained full-frontal nudity. This version was then re-edited to remove all nudity, and the first version was then replaced with version two.
