Chi may refer to:
Chi (Italian for "Who") is an Italian weekly gossip magazine geared towards a female viewership published in Milan, Italy.
Chi was established in 1995. The magazine, published weekly, is based in Segrate, Milan, Italy and its publisher is Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. The company is headed by Marina Berlusconi, Silvio Berlusconi’s older daughter. Alfonso Signorini is the editor of the weekly.
In 2004 the circulation of Chi was 524,482 copies. The magazine had a circulation of 503,984 copies in 2007. In 2010 its circulation was 403,599 copies.
The magazine came under criticism for publishing a picture of Princess Diana, taken as she was dying. The photo, which is black-and-white, depicts Diana receiving oxygen in the wreckage of the vehicle in which she died on 31 August 1997. The picture, which was also run with black bars across the Princess's face in the British newspaper The Sun, was taken from the book Lady Diana : L'enquete criminelle by Jean-Michel Caradec'h. Despite the criticism, the editor of the magazine defended their decision to publish it.
Chi (Chinese: 螭; pinyin: chī; Wade–Giles: ch'ih) means either "a hornless dragon" or "a mountain demon" (namely, chimei 螭魅) in Chinese mythology. Hornless dragons were a common motif in ancient Chinese art, and the chiwen 螭吻 (lit. "hornless-dragon mouth") was an Imperial roof decoration in traditional Chinese architecture.
In Modern Standard Chinese usage, chi 螭 "hornless dragon" occurs in words such as:
Note that the following discussion of the word chi 螭's written forms and etymological origins requires using some jargon linguistics and sinology. See also 9 sons of the dragon.
Guilt (Greek: "Ενοχή" 2009) is a feature Greek - Cypriot film, directed by the Greek director - writer and producer Vassilis Mazomenos. It was awarded in 2012 with the Best Screenwriting and Best Photography award in London Greek Film Festival (U.K.) and was official selection in Montreal World Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, International Film Festival of India, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Fantasporto and opening film in the Panorama of European Cinema in Athens. In 2010 was Nominated for the best film from the Hellenic Film Academy. In 2010 the film received the Best Soundtrack (George Andreou) for Greek movies of the year. As Vrasidas Karalis wrote in the History of Greek cinema: "His later films Remembrance (2002) Words and Sins (2004) and Guilt (2010) received many positive reviews and international recognition; especially the last in which Mazomenos explored narrative cinema through a nightmarish and confronting story."
"Guilt" is the second and last single to be taken from The Long Blondes' second album "Couples". It was released on 30 July 2008 as a limited edition 2-track 7" vinyl only.
The video for Guilt is set in a dog show. The band agreed to their suggestion to set the video in a dog show after receiving numerous literal interpretations of the lyrics. It was accompanied by one b-side called "Melville Farr" which is based on Dirk Bogarde's character in the 1961 British film Victim.
"Guilt" was well received by critics and fans alike, with some critics calling it their most accomplished effort to date. The single reached number 24 in the UK Indie Chart. The song did really well considering the lack of promotion, airplay and Dorian Cox being ill at the time of release.
"Good as Gold" is the only song by The Long Blondes not to be sung by Kate Jackson. It is sung by bassist Reenie Hollis.
All lyrics written by Dorian Cox, music by The Long Blondes.
Guilt is the second studio album from Washington Heights, Manhattan rapper, Mims. The album was released on April 7, 2009.
The first single for the album is "Move (If You Wanna)". Later, a video was shot for the single as a promotion for the album, revealing its title to be Guilt, and premiered February 14, 2009.
Mims has stated that his song "Donkie Booty" featuring Trey Songz will not be on the album because it was leaked. Many other songs too leaked on Internet but it is not confirmed whether they were recorded for the album.
The song "Rock 'N Rollin'", produced by Jim Jonsin and featuring rapper Tech N9ne, sees the two rappers incorporate the names of several notable rock bands into their lyrics. Jake Paine of HipHopDX made a comparison, based on the concept, to GZA's "Labels", which incorporated hip hop imprints into its lyrics in a similar fashion.
The track "Love Rollercoaster" is also featured on Letoya Luckett's second album, Lady Love.
The album debuted at #53 on the Billboard 200, selling 12,400 copies in its first week.
