Chery A3

The Chery A3 is a compact car built by the Chinese manufacturer Chery since 2008, offered as a 4-door sedan and as a 5-door hatchback. It was revealed for the first time as a concept car at the 2006 Beijing Motor Show and production car two years later which went on sale in September 2008. The car was designed by the Italian studio Pininfarina.

In South America, Eastern Europe and Oceania it is marketed numerous different names, including: Chery M11 (in Ukraine and Russia),Chery Tengo (in Serbia and nearby countries),Chery Chance/Niche (in Turkey),Chery Cielo (in Brazil),Chery Skin/Skin Sport (in Chile),Chery Orinoco (in Venezuela) and Chery J3 (in Australia and New Zealand).

Safety and equipment

The car comes in standard with driver and front passenger airbags and additionally it can offer side airbags and as well front and rear curtain airbags. Also standard equipment includes ABS and EBD and optional there is TCS. The body structure is made 40% of high strength steel sheet. Standard equipment also includes power steering, electric windows, air conditioning, 205/55 R16 tyres with aluminium alloy rims, remote central locking or cd/mp3-player.

Chery Automobile Co., Ltd.,trading as Chery (/ˈʃɛri/) and sometimes known by the pinyin transcription of its Chinese name, Qirui, is a Chinese automobile manufacturer headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. It was founded by the Government of China in 1997 and is a state-owned corporation. Chery's principal products are passenger cars, minivans, and SUVs; it sells passenger cars under the Chery marque and commercial vehicles under the Karry brand. Chery is the tenth-largest China-based automaker measured by 2012 output (around 590,000 units).

Chery began the production of automobiles in 1999 and their export from China in 2001. It has been China's largest passenger car exporter since 2003 and in 2011 exported around 25% of its total production. It operates a 50:50 joint venture with Kenon Holdings, Qoros, which was formed in 2007 and is developing a range of premium vehicles for sale worldwide. In 2012 Jaguar Land Rover formed 50:50 joint venture Chery Jaguar Land Rover for the production of Jaguar and Land Rover cars in China with Chery.
