Charming is a fictional town in the television series Sons of Anarchy.

Approximate location and fictional statistics

According to a sign on the edge of town, Charming's population is 14,542, and the city motto is "Our Name Says It All". Charming covers 22.7 square miles (59 km²) and is located in San Joaquin County, California, in the upper part of the metro triangle, which is bounded by the Bay Area, Stockton, and Sacramento. Show writer Kurt Sutter has stated that he envisions the town as being located between Lodi and Stockton, which would place it near the real-life Census-designated place of Morada, California. At other times in the show, Charming is said to be 50 miles (80 km) from both Oakland and San Jose, and about 30 miles (50 km) from both Stockton and Lodi.

In Season 1, the show's official website gave GPS coordinates for Charming that placed it in the middle of an agricultural field along California SR 12, about 3.75 miles (6.0 km) west of Interstate 5, just under 1 mile north of the road. These coordinates put Charming between Lodi and Rio Vista, California. The website no longer includes this data.

Charming (film)

Charming is an upcoming American-Canadian 3D computer-animated musical comedy film directed and written by Ross Venokur. The film explores the untold stories of Snow White (Avril Lavigne), Cinderella (Ashley Tisdale) and Sleeping Beauty (G.E.M.) who discover that they are all engaged to the same Prince Charming (Wilmer Valderrama). Under the spell of a wicked Queen, Prince Charming, led by the heroine Lenore (Demi Lovato), must go on an epic journey to find his true, true love.

On September 18, 2014, it was announced that producers John H. Williams and Henry Skelsey's newly formed animated production company 3QU Media would be developing its first film Charming with Vanguard Animation, and in association with Cinesite. Ross Venokur would direct the film based on his own script, and the film's budget would be under $20 million. On February 19, 2015, Demi Lovato was cast in the film to provide her female lead voice for the role of Lenore, and she would also executive produce the music score for the film. On August 5, 2015, Avril Lavigne, Ashley Tisdale, and G.E.M. joined the cast to voice Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, respectively. SC Films International would handle the international sales for the film.Wilmer Valderrama has been cast as Prince Charming on September 16, 2015.
