Chapri is a village and union council of the Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located in Isakhel Tehsil at 32°58′46″N 71°23′28″E / 32.97944°N 71.39111°E / 32.97944; 71.39111Coordinates: 32°58′46″N 71°23′28″E / 32.97944°N 71.39111°E / 32.97944; 71.39111, and lies about 17 km from Kalabagh and Qamar Mashani on two separate roads.
Most of the people are employed by the Pakistan Army in ranks less few officers like Capt noor Ahmed khan from 10 baluch reigment who served in world one and was awarded military cross by the great britain empire in addition to it his son Major Masood ahmed khattak (retd.) of 56 PMA long Course from 36 baloch regiment also served paksitan army from same district.One of the notable and current war veteran from royal British navy Mr.Haji Akber Khan who was the nephew of Captain Ahmed khan belongs to same country in addition to it S/o Muhammad Akber Khattak Lt.col Javed Akber Khattak belongs to Army Air defence is current serving an army officer linking to the same family group the grand son of Haji Akber khan Engr.Saif Ul Islam Khattak is a notable engineer who graduates from NED University Pakistan and serving as a business developer Engineer in a multinational (Intertek Pakistan) ,Lt.Col Shaista Mir Khan, Lt.Col Umar Gul and Major (R) Saleem Khattak among others like Maj Rashid Ullah Khan and the recently commissioned officers are: Maj.Dr.Saeed khan, Capt.Irfan ud Din, Lt. Awais khan PN, Capt Waheed Ullah Khan. There are many students now getting high education in different part of the country including Muhammad Tufail(Software Engineering),Sada Khan(M.Phil),Abdul Ghafar Khan(Phd). There is one boys High school and primary girls school. The main tribe is the Khattak, a Pashtun tribe. The sub tribes of Chapri are Machan Khel, Mondory, Kuttal Khel, Odda Khel(Latifabad), Asmaal Khel,Noora Khel and Barki khel.
Mianwali (Urdu: مِيانوالى) is the capital city of Mianwali District, Pakistan. In November 1989, present day tehsils of Mianwali, Isa Khel and Piplan were separated from Bannu District and districts Bhakkar and Layyah from Dera Ismail Khan District and clubbed together to form a new district named Mianwali with its headquarters in Mianwali city. The municipal committee was founded in December 1993 and has remained operational since then.
The city has an FM radio station (FM 93), Feroz Shah Memorial Library, Sports Complex, Hockey Stadium and a Football Stadium. There are several educational institutions from elementary to post-graduate level.
The city has an airport built near the old World War II aerodrome and known as M.M.Alam Base Mianwali. It is one of the major operational and training air bases of the country. The No. 1 Fighter Conversion Unit of the PAF is stationed here.
There is a railway connecting the city with Multan, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The main highways connecting to the other parts of the country include the Sargodha–Lahore road [N–60], MM Road (Mianwali–Muzaffargarh road), Talagang–Rawalpindi road, and the Kalabagh–Bannu road [N–60].
