Catch 22 Live

Live! is Catch 22's first full-length live release, although fan-recorded live tracks were bonus features on several previous albums. Roughly a third of the album is devoted to Keasbey Nights, another third to Alone in a Crowd, and the remainder to Dinosaur Sounds. A bonus DVD includes footage from the concert, as well as a variety of extras. However, former frontman Tomas Kalnoky is conspicuously absent from the footage of the band's early days.

Live (The Dubliners album)

Live is an album by The Dubliners recorded live at the Fiesta Club,Sheffield and released on the Polydor label in 1974. This was to be Ronnie Drew's last recording with The Dubliners for five years as he left to pursue a solo career. Also following this album, Ciarán Bourke ceased to be a full-time member of the group when he suffered a brain hemorrhage. He sings "All for Me Grog" here. The reels that open this album (and which first were released on the group's 1967 studio album A Drop of the Hard Stuff) have become the opening instrumental medley at most of their concerts since.

Live (Jake Shimabukuro album)

Live is Jake Shimabukuro's 2009 solo album. It was released in April 2009, and consists of live in-concert performances from various venues around the world, including New York, Chicago, Japan, and Hawaii.

Live peaked at number 5 in Billboard's Top World Music Albums in 2009 and 2010. The album won the 2010 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Instrumental Album of the Year, and also garnered Shimabukuro the award for Favorite Entertainer of the Year. In addition, it won the 2010 Hawaii Music Award for Best Ukulele Album.

AllMusic noted that, "Shimabukuro is a monster musician and boldly takes the ukulele where no ukulele has ever gone before, dazzling listeners with his blinding speed, melodic invention, and open-ended improvisations of remarkable virtuosity. Before Shimabukuro, the idea of spending an evening listing to a solo ukulele player was probably most people's idea of hell, but the 17 solo efforts here never bore. They show Shimabukuro's range and his humor as well."

DJ Champion

Maxime Morin (born c. 1969), is a multi-instrumentalist, better known for his work in electronic music under the moniker DJ Champion or simply Champion. Morin is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Early music career

Maxime Morin began playing guitar at age 13, playing mostly heavy metal music. He went on to play in a few punk and metal bands, but by the age of 25 he found himself moving away from metal and gravitating towards techno. The transition was a gradual one: "Totally, I was like 'Dance music is crap!' So it was actually a big liberation, to lose my fear of dance music,” said Morin in a 2004 interview. Morin’s girlfriend at the time took him to a warehouse show and soon he began to attend techno Sundays at Les Foufounes Électriques, a Montreal nightclub better known in the 1980s and 90s for booking punk and alternative rock acts. By 1994 Morin began producing his own dance music and was performing around the Montreal club scene under the names Le Max and Mad Max. By about age 27 he stopped playing guitar altogether.

Champion is the eighth studio album from Christian music songstress Beckah Shae. The album released on May 6, 2014 through her independent label Shae Shoc Records. This album was produced by her husband Jack "Shoc" Shocklee. The album charted on three Billboard charts, and it received a four star rating from New Release Tuesday.

Background

The album was predecessor is 2012's Rest, which was her seventh studio album for her career. On May 6, 2014, Beckah Shae released this album through her independent label Shae Shoc Records, and it was produced by her husband Jack "Shoc" Shocklee.

Critical reception

Champion met with positive reception from music critics. Andy Argyrakis of CCM Magazine rated the album four stars out of five, indicating how the release gives evidence that Beckah Shae can "easily compete with any electronic dance music act in the mainstream", which she had some truly fine collaborators to work with on the songs, yet the artist "is at the center of this masterpiece." At New Release Tuesday, Sarah Fine rated the album four stars out of five, remarking how "Champion reaffirms all the reasons why Shae and her husband are masters at their craft." In addition, Fine writes that "A 15-track monster of an album, Champion doesn't disappoint." Amanda Brogan of Christian Music Review rated the album a perfect five stars, stating that the album can be utilized for just mere workout music or for its spiritual resonations. At 365 Days of Inspiring Media, Micah Garnett rated the album four-and-a-half stars out of five, writing how "Champion is full of tremendous dance tracks with uplifting and relevant lyrics." Also, Garnett calls the release "a doozy." Joshua Galla of Jam the Hype rated the album an 8.8 out of ten, saying "Revolutionary is an ideal definition of what Champion encapsulates", and that "Beckah used her life's struggles to handcraft brilliance in the form of art within music."
