CFU-Eo is a colony forming unit that gives rise to eosinophils. Some sources prefer the term "CFU-Eos". It is also known as "hEoP".
In Greek mythology, Ēōs (/ˈiːɒs/; Ionic and Homeric Greek Ἠώς, Attic Ἕως Éōs, "dawn", pronounced [ɛːɔ̌ːs] or [héɔːs]; Aeolic Αὔως Aúōs, Doric Ἀώς Āṓs) is a Titaness and the goddess of the dawn, who rose each morning from her home at the edge of the Oceanus.
Eos had a brother and a sister, Helios, god of the sun, and Selene, goddess of the moon.
Eos is cognate to Vedic Sanskrit Ushas and Latin Aurora, both goddesses of dawn, and all three considered derivatives of a PIE stem *h₂ewsṓs (later *Ausṓs), "dawn", a stem that also gave rise to Proto-Germanic *Austrō, Old Germanic *Ōstara and Old English Ēostre/Ēastre. This agreement leads to the reconstruction of a Proto-Indo-European dawn goddess.
The dawn goddess Eos was almost always described with rosy fingers (ῥοδοδάκτυλος, rhododáktylos) or rosy forearms (ῥοδόπηχυς, rhodópēkhys) as she opened the gates of heaven for the Sun to rise. In Homer, her saffron-coloured robe is embroidered or woven with flowers; rosy-fingered and with golden arms, she is pictured on Attic vases as a beautiful woman, crowned with a tiara or diadem and with the large white-feathered wings of a bird.
Eos is the goddess of the dawn in Greek mythology. It may also refer to Aeos, one of the four horses that drew the chariot of the young God Helios in Greek mythology.
Eos or EOS may also refer to:
Eos is the eleventh album by Norwegian jazz guitarist Terje Rypdal recorded in 1983 and released on the ECM label.
The Allmusic review by Michael P. Dawson awarded the album 2½ stars stating "Probably Rypdal's most experimental release, it's a set of heavily electronic duets with cellist David Darling".
Chipman Airport, (TC LID: CFU3), is located 1.1 nautical miles (2.0 km; 1.3 mi) north of Chipman, Alberta, Canada.
The airport is owned and operated by the Edmonton Soaring Club. The Edmonton Soaring Club, which was previously operating from the Edmonton/Cooking Lake Airport, purchased the site in 1971, when other plans were being made for Cooking Lake by the Government of Alberta. This airport is also known as the "Chipman Gliderport".
Itinerant air traffic is welcome, and should use the aerodrome frequency of 123.4, and keep an eye out for glider traffic. The airport is not maintained in the winter, but is suitable for aircraft on skis when snow-covered. The airport is usually attended on weekends and designated flying weeks during the soaring season, which typically runs from mid-April through October.
Facilities available include a clubhouse with kitchen, bathrooms, showers; a bunkhouse for overnight accommodation; cable tie-downs; emergency fuel (100LL). Pilots should call ahead to see if the airport is attended (780) 363-3860.
CFU758 is a low-power broadcaster, using the on-air brand 90.7 RAV FM. It is the only licensed high school radio station in Thornhill, Ontario and is owned and operated by Vaughan Secondary School. RAV FM is part of the school's radio broadcasting course, and is one of a small number of Canadian radio stations licensed to a high school.
RAV FM first signed on in 1999 on the 106.3 FM frequency, utilizing a combination of students and faculty as station operators and program directors.
Rob Basile was the station’s original founder, and a teacher at Vaughan Secondary School. Under Basile’s guidance, the station voluntarily changed to 90.7 FM to avoid interference with CKAV-FM in 2002. After moving to CIRR-FM at the end of the 2004 to become that station's program director, the duties of program director were given to Chris “Punch” Andrews, who also continued his on-air duties at CKFM-FM. After the death of Andrews in 2008, Ronald Johnson was named the new program director of the station. To honour the memory of Andrews, the studio was renamed the Punch Andrews Studio. Up until this point it was student-led broadcasting and was still using the original mixer board donated to the station by CHUM FM. In 2009, Matthew Rondina, a media teacher at Vaughan Secondary School assumed the program director, removing the elements of student leadership and independence from the station. The original equipment was removed and the studio was completely changed. Under Rondina's changes students were no longer able to run their own shows and the station ceased to exist as a club/ extra curricular activity.
It feels like I'll never be the same
I want to live this way
Empowered to the end
To change the way you see
It feels like I'll try to find a way
To always live this way
The power in my hand
Will change the way you feel
Try fixing this, you'll never find a way
