The Bath (EP)
The Bath is the name of the first EP released by electronica duo Lemon Jelly, according to the insert of Lemonjelly.ky, on August 24, 1998. It was limited to 1,000 10" copies, the first 200 of which featured hand screen-printed sleeves. The tracks from the EP were later incorporated, for more accessible listening, into the critically acclaimed Lemonjelly.ky album.
History
From 1998 to 2000, Franglen and Deakin released three limited-circulation EPs, The Bath (1998), The Yellow (1999), and The Midnight (2000), on their own label, Impotent Fury. The EPs were a critical success, and led to the duo being signed to XL Recordings.

"In The Bath" uses a sample from "Tahitian Sunset", performed by Bert Kaempfert and his orchestra. Female vocals are by Tricia Pank.
"Nervous Tension" uses samples from "Dance Till Your Shoes Fall Off Your Feet" and "The Last Thing On My Mind" performed by Nana Mouskouri and from "Relax With Reveen" performed by Peter Reveen.
Women (novel)
Women is a 1978 novel written by Charles Bukowski, starring his semi-autobiographical character Henry Chinaski. In contrast to Factotum, Post Office and Ham on Rye, Women is centered on Chinaski's later life, as a celebrated poet and writer, not as a dead-end lowlife. It does, however, feature the same constant carousel of women with whom Chinaski only finds temporary fulfillment.
Plot
Women focuses on the many dissatisfactions Chinaski faced with each new woman he encountered. One of the women featured in the book is a character named Lydia Vance; she is based on Bukowski's one-time girlfriend, the sculptress and sometime poet Linda King. Another central female character in the book is named "Tanya" who is described as a 'tiny girl-child' and Chinaski's pen-pal. They have a weekend tryst. The real-life counterpart to this character wrote a self-published chapbook about the affair entitled "Blowing My Hero" under the pseudonym Amber O'Neil. The washed-up folksinger "Dinky Summers" is based on Bob Lind.
Women (album)
Women is the debut album by Calgary band Women, recorded by fellow Calgary-native Chad VanGaalen. It was released in 2008 on VanGaalen's Flemish Eye record label in Canada, and on Jagjaguwar in the US. The song "Sag Harbour Song" is a direct reference to the suicide of the artist Ray Johnson, like "Locust Valley" and "Venice Lockjaw" on Women's second album of 2010, Public Strain.
Recording
Women was recorded by Polaris Music Prize-nominated Chad VanGaalen, in "[VanGaalen's] basement, an outdoor culvert and a crawlspace." It was recorded using boom boxes and tape machines, contributing to its lo-fi sound.
Reception
Women was released to favourable reviews, with Cokemachineglow naming it as "the best 'indie rock' record released [in 2008], hands down."

10,000 Women
10,000 Women is a program organized by Goldman Sachs with the goal of helping to grow local economies by providing business education, mentoring and networking, and access to capital to underserved women entrepreneurs globally. The program was announced on March 5, 2008 at Columbia University. The initiative is one of the largest philanthropic projects the bank has been involved with.
As part of the program, Goldman Sachs has committed $100 million in funding and partnered universities in Europe and the United States with business schools in developing and emerging economies.
Vital Voices has presented the 10,000 Women Entrepreneurial Achievement Award at its annual Global Leadership Awards event from 2009-2011. The award was given to a graduate of the 10,000 Women program, sponsored by Goldman Sachs. Past recipients include Temituokpe Esisi of Nigeria (2009), Andeisha Farid of Afghanistan (2010) and Fatema Akbari of Afghanistan (2011).
In September 2013, Goldman Sachs launched a public Twitter presence for the 10,000 Women program using the screen name @GS10KWomen. In December 2015 the account had over 39,000 followers.
