Nada! is the third studio album by English neofolk band Death in June. It was released in 1985, through record label New European Recordings.

Nada (1947 film)

Nada is a 1947 Spanish drama film directed by Edgar Neville. It is based on Carmen Laforet's famous novel Nada which won the Premio Nadal. It was written by Carmen Laforet.

The novel was filmed also in Argentina in (1956) by Leopoldo Torre Nilsson with the title Graciela.

Although the film is an entirely Spanish production, the cast includes some Italian actors: Fosco Giachetti, María Denis, Adriano Rimoldi.

The film was censored and cut by 30 minutes, so credited actors such as Félix Navarro, María Bru and Rafael Bardem disappeared from the film. The role of José María Mompín was hardly reduced. Most of the Barcelona exteriors were removed.

Cara (horse)

Cara (1836–1857) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare who won the classic 1000 Guineas at Newmarket Racecourse in 1839. The filly was lightly campaigned, running six races in three seasons and winning twice. She was one of the leading British two-year-olds of 1838, winning the Criterion Stakes in impressive fashion and won the 1000 Guineas the following spring. Cara failed to reproduce her early success, being beaten in two races at Newmarket later that year and finishing last on her only start as a four-year-old. She was then retired to stud and died in 1857, having made little impact as a broodmare.

Background

Cara was a bay mare bred by her owner Richard Watt of Bishop Burton near Beverley in Yorkshire. She was sired by Watt's stallion Belshazzar, who won several important races at York and Doncaster Racecourse and had some success at stud before being sold to Thomas Flintoff and exported to Tennessee.

Cara's dam, Fanchon was bred by Lord Egremont and was a sister of the Epsom Derby winners Lap-dog and Spaniel: Cara was her second foal.

Karaš

The Karaš (in Serbian, also Cyrillic: Караш) or Caraș (in Romanian) is a 110-kilometre (68 mi) long river in the Banat region of Vojvodina, Serbia and Romania forming the left tributary of the Danube.

Name

In Roman times the river was known as Apo, from a Thracian word meaning "water".

Romania

The Caraș originates in the Anina Mountains, northeast of the town of Anina, close to the sources of the Bârzava and Nera rivers. It runs through Romania for 50 kilometres (31 mi), flowing to the north in its early reaches before turning southwest at the town of Caraşova where it receives many short tributaries, most notably, the left tributary of the Lisava, then passes many villages including (Giurgiova, Ticvaniu Mare, Grădinari, Vărădia, Mercina, Vrani) before it enters the Serbian province of Vojvodina.

Serbia

Right after crossing the border, the Karaš receives its two major tributaries, the Borugu from the right, and the Ilidija (Romanian: Ilidia) from the left. It passes the villages of Kuštilj, Vojvodinci, Dobričevo, Straža and Jasenovo and reaches the eastern side of the Deliblatska Peščara and Dumača hill, the easternmost side of the Hills of Zagajica. From this point, the Karaš is channeled and incorporated into the last part of the Danube-Tisa Canal. It runs alongside the villages of Dupljaja, Grebenac, Kajtasovo and Banatska Palanka before it ends its 60-kilometre (37 mi) course through Serbia, emptying into the Danube near the village of Stara Palanka, across from the tourist resort of Ram.
