CanaDream (TSX-V: CDN) is a recreational vehicle rental and sales company with its head office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The company was established in December 1995, when businessmen Brian Gronberg, Rory Gronberg and Blaine Nicholson bought Canada Campers, an ailing company in the same business, out of receivership. The business was renamed to CanaDream Campers and was operated as a privately held company, with Brian Gronberg as President.
On May 27, 1997, CanaDream Campers became a public company and began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange as CanaDream Corporation, under the symbol CDN.
CanaDream operates 6 corporate and two franchised locations in Calgary, Vancouver, Whitehorse, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto and Halifax. Their fleet consists of approximately 700 vehicles.
On 25 August 2009, CanaDream announced they were entering into a partnership in the Canadian RV rental market with Apollo Motorhome Holidays. CanaDream and Apollo announced they would continue to run independently but would investigate a range of synergies between the two companies.
I don't like to go down to flats
'Cause I can't park on a hill
Instead getting a rolling start
I have to pay the bill.
I guess I need that city life
It sure has lots of style
But pretty soon it wears me out
And I have to think to smile.
I'm thankful for my country home
It gives me peace of mind
Somewhere I can walk alone
And leave myself behind.
It's only someone else's potatoes
You pickin' someone else's patch
And if you go down there anyway
It very seldom lasts.
I found that out once long ago
And it sure got me confused
I still don't know which way to go
To lose those old spud blues.
I'm thankful for my country home
It gives me peace of mind
Somewhere I can walk alone
