Cadavrexquis is the tenth studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released in France 1993 on label Chène Music. The album includes Lear's comeback dance hit "Fantasy" plus updated versions of three of her hits from the seventies, her signature tune "Follow Me", "Fashion Pack (Studio 54)" and "Lili Marleen". The title of the album is a reference to the Surrealist game of cadavre exquis.

After having been a television presenter and family entertainer in Italy for most of the eighties and early nineties, and musically confined to mainstream pop, Cadavrexquis marked a definite return to the disco genre - much to the delight of her ever loyal following in the European gay communities - and was largely a collaboration with German band and production team Bass Bumpers whose blend of house, rap and eurodance had previously generated club hits like "Can't Stop Dancing", "Get The Big Bass" and "The Music's Got Me".
Lear was back where she belonged and she was eventually welcomed after a hesitant start. Cadavrexquis was initially only released by minor French record company Chène Music and didn't gain much attention, but then lead single "Fantasy" slowly grew to be something of an underground hit in gay clubs in Continental Europe which resulted in German dance major Mint Records licensing and re-issuing both the single and the album.
Two tracks were left off Cadavrexquis: "Voluptas" ("Desire" in Latin); and the auto-biographic ballad "Glad to Be Alive", paying tribute to Andy Warhol, John Lennon, Nico and other celebrities that Lear knew. Those tracks were replaced by new versions of "Fashion Pack" and "Lili Marleen". Both tracks are now available in file sharing networks.
