CFGN is an AM radio station in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, broadcasting at 1230 kHz. Originally launched as a repeater on August 7, 1971, it opened its own studios in 1973. In 1996, it became a repeater of CFSX. The station is owned by Newcap Broadcasting.

As a local station, CFGN broadcast in the daytime and (most probably) the weekend, and served as a repeater to CFCB in Corner Brook for the rest of the week. In recent years however, very few local programs originating from CFGN remain, except for twice-weekly radio Bingo games and themed music days (mostly on certain Saturdays and mostly classic hits prior to (and sometimes) the 1980s). These programs now originate out of CFSX's studio in Stephenville.

CFGN also has a repeater in the Codroy Valley, CFCV on 97.7 MHz.

On April 2, 2001, the sale of Humber Valley Broadcasting Co. Ltd. to Newcap Inc. was approved.[1] This included CFGN and other radio stations such as:

  • CFCB Corner Brook and its transmitters;
    • CFDL-FM Deer Lake
    • CFNW Port-aux-Choix
    • CFNN-FM St. Anthony
    • CFSX Stephenville
  • CFCV-FM St. Andrew's and CFLN Goose Bay and its transmitters;
    • CFLW Wabush and CFLC-FM Churchill Falls

Breath Of Water

by: Cave-In

It's time to tell the truth to anyone who cares to know what brought him to this point
Curled up into a ball, his thumbs the only things that could break his fall
Almost out of air, far beyond repair, doomed
The time is wearing thin, the technicolor's gone
See it all now in black and white
So now, please, it's your last drop of air
So now, breathe, and take your very first
Breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Allow yourself this one last breath
He ran away from home, leaving a trace for friends to hunt and find him in the snow
But a scent is not enough, and we're barely sure he's strong enough to survive the cold
Almost out of air, far beyond repair, doomed
The time is wearing thin, the technicolor's gone
See it all now in black and white
So now, please, it's your last drop of air
So now, breathe, and take your very first
Breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Allow yourself this one last breath
I'd rather spare the truth from anyone who cares to know exactly how we found him
But it's time to share the truth with anyone who cares, he goes out too deep alone
So now ...
...breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Breath of water
Allow yourself this one
Allow yourself this one
Allow yourself this one last breath
