Metropark (NJT station)
Metropark, or Metropark Station, is a train station in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, served by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor. It was built in 1971 by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the United States Department of Transportation. Its purpose was to provide a suburban park-and-ride stop for the new high-speed rail Metroliners.
Location
The station is located in the Iselin section of Woodbridge and is one of three stations NJT operates in the township along with Avenel and Woodbridge stations. Metropark's property is set between Middlesex Essex Turnpike and NJ 27 and is located near Iselin's border with the Colonia section of Woodbridge and the township's border with neighboring Edison. It is reached via Exits 131 or 132 of the Garden State Parkway.
History
Metropark was one of two park-and-ride infill stations proposed in the 1960s for use by the new Metroliners, the other being Capital Beltway in Lanham, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.. The two stations were originally named Capital Beltway Metropark and Garden State Metropark, though these were shortened to Capital Beltway and Metropark, respectively. Both were conceived as public-private partnerships. Under a plan put forward in late 1968 by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) the state would contribute $648,000 toward the cost of the station, then estimated at $1,400,000.
Iselin, New Jersey
Iselin /ˈɪzɛlɪn/ is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) located within Woodbridge Township, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 18,695.
Previously known as Perrytown and Unionville, Iselin received its current name after a New York investment banker and philanthropist Adrian G Iselin in the 1870s. He established a finishing school for girls from wealthy New York families there and subsidized the erection of a new train station currently known as Metropark. The largest bordering town of Iselin is Edison.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total area of 3.190 square miles (8.263 km2), of which, 3.189 square miles (8.261 km2) of it was land and 0.001 square miles (0.003 km2) of it (0.03%) was water.
Education
Iselin public school students attend the schools of the Woodbridge Township School District. Elementary Schools #18, #24 and #26 are located in Iselin as well as Iselin Middle School (nicknamed the Panthers) and John F. Kennedy Memorial High School (nicknamed the Mustangs).

Oliver (song)
"Oliver" was the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1979, performed in Norwegian by Anita Skorgan. This was Skorgan's second participation in the Contest; in 1977 she had placed 14th out of 18 entries with "Casanova".
The song is a moderately up-tempo number, with Skorgan addressing a former lover (with whom she sings she broke up four weeks ago) who she sees in a disco. She tells him that if she happens to walk past him, she will ask him for a dance, because she believes that he misses her and she is prepared to give him another chance. English ("Oliver"), German ("(Tanz mit mir) Oliver"), French ("Il faut danser") and Swedish ("Oliver") versions of the song were also released after the Contest.
The song was performed sixteenth on the night, following Sweden's Ted Gärdestad with "Satellit" and preceding the United Kingdom's Black Lace with "Mary Ann". At the close of voting, it had received 57 points, placing 11th in a field of 19.
It was succeeded as Norwegian representative at the 1980 contest by Sverre Kjelsberg & Mattis Hætta with "Sámiid Ædnan". Anita Skorgan returned to the Contest in 1982 with her then husband Jahn Teigen with the duet "Adieu".
