2C-T-21

2C-T-21 is a psychedelic phenethylamine of the 2C family. It was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, sometimes used as an entheogen. It was the first psychedelic drug known to contain six different chemical elements in the structure.

Chemistry

The full name of 2C-T-21 is 4-(2-fluoroethylthio)-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine.

Dosage

In his book PiHKAL (Phenethylamines i Have Known And Loved), Shulgin lists the dosage range as 8–12 mg.

Effects

2C-T-21 is generally taken orally, and effects typically last 7 to 14 hours. The potential psychotherapeutic applications of this chemical were explored by Myron Stolaroff who found it a very promising substance in his experiments.

Pharmacology

The mechanism that produces 2C-T-21’s hallucinogenic and entheogenic effects has not been specifically established, however it is most likely to result from action as a 5-HT_2A serotonin receptor agonist in the brain, a mechanism of action shared by all of the hallucinogenic tryptamines and phenethylamines for which the mechanism of action is known. Based on the relatively high potency of 2C-T-21, it is likely that this compound binds quite strongly to the 5HT_2A receptor target.

4C-T-2

2,5-Dimethoxy-4-ethylthio-α-ethylphenethylamine (4C-T-2) is a synthetic drug of the phenethylamine chemical class. It is the α-ethylated analogue of 2C-T-2.

4C-T-2 has affinity (K_i) for the 5-HT_1A (5,339 nM), 5-HT_1E (9,879 nM), 5-HT_2A (274.1 nM), 5-HT_2B (58.1 nM), 5-HT_2C (468.6 nM), 5-HT_5A (1,587 nM), 5-HT₇ (3,829), D₃ (1,273 nM), β₂-adrenergic (124.9 nM), I₁ (946.5 nM), and σ₁ (514 nM) receptors. The activity of 4C-T-2 at these sites has not been assayed, with the exception of the 5-HT_2A and 5-HT_2C receptors where it acts as a partial agonist.

Computer!Totaal, conveniently abbreviated as C!T, is a Dutch monthly magazine about computers and related subjects. C!T is published by IDG Nederland and part of IDG's PC World product line.Computer!Totaal is the largest computer magazine of the Netherlands.

Originally, C!T was the newsletter of the Hobby Computer Club (HCC) and was called HCC Nieuwsbrief, which was later renamed to the current name. On 1 October 2008, IDG and HCC terminated their co-operation. From that date onwards, HCC membership and the HCC Nieuwsbrief subscription were no longer linked.

Rs6313

In genetics, rs6313 also called T102C or C102T is a gene variation—a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)—in the human HTR2A gene that codes for the 5-HT_2A receptor. The SNP is a synonymous substitution located in exon 1 of the gene where it is involved in coding the 34th amino acid as serine.

As 5-HT_2A is a neuroreceptor the SNP has been investigated in connection with brain functions and neuropsychiatric disorders, and it is perhaps the most investigated SNP for its gene. Two other SNPs in HTR2A have also received much attention: rs6311 and His452Tyr (rs6314). The T102C polymorphism has been shown to be in complete linkage disequilibrium with the rs6311 (A-1438G). A less well investigated SNP of this gene is rs7997012.

Meta-analyses seem to indicate that the SNP is not directly associated with schizophrenia, not with Alzheimer's Disease, and two initial studies seem to indicate that it is not associated with Parkinson's Disease.

There have been multiple studies of the effect of this SNP on clozapine treatment response in schizophrenia. A meta-analysis published in 1998 found an association.

Beechcraft King Air

The Beechcraft King Air family is part of a line of twin-turboprop aircraft produced by Beechcraft. The King Air line comprises a number of models that have been divided into two families; the Model 90 and 100 series are known as King Airs, while the Model 200 and 300 series were originally marketed as Super King Airs, with "Super" being dropped by Beechcraft in 1996 (although it is still often used to differentiate the 200 and 300 series King Airs from their smaller stablemates).

The King Air was the first aircraft in its class and has been in continuous production since 1964. It has outsold all of its turboprop competitors combined. It now faces competition from jet aircraft such as the Beechcraft Premier I and Cessna Citation Mustang as well as newer turboprop aircraft including the Piaggio P180 Avanti, and single-engine Piper Malibu Meridian, Pilatus PC-12, and Socata TBM.

Development

Model 90 series

The Model 90 King Air was conceived as the Model 120 in 1961. In May 1963, Beechcraft began test flights of the proof-of-concept Model 87, a modified Queen Air with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-6 engines. On 14 July, Beech announced a new type, and a month later began accepting orders for the "King Air", with deliveries to commence in Autumn 1964. After 10 months of test flying, in 1964 the Model 87 was delivered to the United States Army as the NU-8F. On 24 January, the first definitive prototype, by now designated Model 65-90 and also fitted with PT6A-6 engines, flew for the first time. The first production aircraft was delivered on October 8, and by the end of the month, 152 aircraft had been ordered; by year's end, seven had been built.

C.T.C.

C.T.C. (short for Controlul Tehnic de Calitate, Romanian for "Technical quality control", and a stamp formerly present on many products in Romania) is a Romanian hip hop band, founded by VD, Deliric 1, L Doc and DJ Paul.

Although they were members of other different bands (Armada and E.L.I.T.A.), in 1999 they decided to start together a new project, compiling a demo that spread out quickly among hip-hop listeners and was well received by the established hip-hop community. As a result, the C.T.C. members became guest MC's for some collaborations on several LP's and compilations: Plus infinite ("Plus Infinity", with R.A.C.L.A.), Visuri în întuneric ("Dreams in the Dark", with K-Gula), Născuţi pentru asta ("Born for This", with Da Hood Justice) and others.

VD and DJ Paul created and launched "Facem Records", the label under which several mix-tapes were released, among others Raku's debut album (În mediu vitreg, "Hostile Environment") and the C.T.C. & Cedry2k EP, Secretul din atom ("The Secret Inside the Atom").
