Tiffany /ˈtɪfəniː/ is an English form of the Greek Theophania. It was formerly often given to children born on the feast of Theophania, that is, Epiphany. The equivalent Greek male name is Theophanes (Θεοφάνης), commonly shortened to Phanis (Φάνης) and the female is Theophania (Θεοφανία) or Theophano (Θεοφανώ), colloquially Phani (Φανή).

The name was popular in the US during the 1980s and early 1990s - between 1980 and 1991 the number of babies named Tiffany born each year exceeded 10,000, peaking at 18,361 in 1988.

Asian Semi-longhair

The Asian Semi-Longhair is a cat breed similar to the Asian Shorthair except it has semi-long fur. The breed is also known by the name Tiffanie or Tiffany. It is recognized in any of the Asian Shorthair or Burmese colors and patterns. Like the Asian Shorthair, the breed was developed in Britain and is not currently recognized by any U.S. Registries. It has full recognition in the GCCF. It is related to, and in some registries distinct from, the Chantilly-Tiffany or Foreign Longhair, the North American variant.

History

The Tiffanie was developed in the 1980s in the United Kingdom as a longhaired version of the Asian Shorthair. The breed origins can be traced back to matings between a longhaired cat and a Burmese. They are very similar to Burmillas.

Temperament

The Tiffany is a gentle, active and curious breed. Cats of this breed are attached to their owners, but do not always get along with other cats, since they can be quite jealous. The Asian Semi-longhair is spirited and expects its keeper to dedicate a lot of time to it. Asian Semi-longhairs can be very vocal and are not recommended for small apartments.

Tiffany (Child's Play)

Tiffany (also known as "The Bride of Chucky") is a murderous doll and the secondary antagonist featured in the fourth, fifth, and sixth films in the Chucky series of horror films. She is portrayed by Jennifer Tilly in both live-action and voiceover in Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky and Curse of Chucky.

As a human, Tiffany has bleached blonde hair and brown eyes. She sports a gothic style of clothing and makeup, along with a chest tattoo of a broken heart with the name Chucky written above it. After becoming a doll, Tiffany redoes her hair and makeup so that she resembles her human self, and wears a golden necklace that says "Tiff." Her appearance changes throughout the series: her lips become smaller, her hair becomes straighter, she no longer wears a leather jacket, and she wears a different dress and new boots. Tiffany, like her love interest, Chucky, wants to transfer her soul to the human protagonist. Both her and Chucky kill people; however, only Tiffany feels guilt later on about doing so.

Burn has two hidden tracks on the CD release. The first is a cover of The Doors, "Strange Days" which is found by rewinding the CD to -4:20 on a CD player (this may not work on software media players). The second is a reprise of the song "Inside" found at 8:43 on the final track.

The Burn are a heavy rock band from Loughborough, England.

History

Formed in 1991, the original line-up comprised Jeff Ogden on vocals, Rab Devenney on lead guitar, Marc Stackhouse on bass guitar, Barney Stackhouse on keyboard, and Karl Bee on drums. After Bee's death following a motorcycling accident, Rob Morris, followed by Benjy Reid III two years later, took over as drummer. Their debut album, So Far So Bad made an impact, with Kerrang! magazine awarding it 5 stars. They toured the United States and Europe and, in 1995, released their second album, Spark to a Flame. The band's third album, Global Warning, was released in May 2007. They supported the Scorpions at the Rock and Blues Festival in the UK in July 2007.

Burn (Havok album)

Burn is the first full-length album recorded by the thrash metal band, Havok. It was released in 2009 on Candlelight Records.

Background

Drum, bass and guitar recording started in mid-2008 in the basement of singer/guitarist David Sanchez's mother's house, in Lakewood, CO. It took roughly 6 months. Vocals were recorded later at Motaland Studios in Denver with engineer Bart McCrorey, who also mixed the album. The band did not work with a producer due to a limited budget of roughly $2,500.

Halsey Swain provided the artwork after an earlier version of the same concept by another artist was rejected.

The album consists of 5 tracks that had been previously released on various EPs or demos and 7 tracks that were original to the album. Bassist Justin Cantrell contributed "Morbid Symmetry" to the songwriting process, but left the band before recording began. This track was designated the "single" for the album, though no actual single was ever released. Jessie De Los Santos replaced him. Drummer Ryan Bloom left the band shortly before the album's release date and was not permanently replaced until 2010. His credit on the album reads, "drum tracks by Ryan Bloom," and he was the lyricist for "Ivory Tower."
