Notes

Burn has two hidden tracks on the CD release. The first is a cover of The Doors, "Strange Days" which is found by rewinding the CD to -4:20 on a CD player (this may not work on software media players). The second is a reprise of the song "Inside" found at 8:43 on the final track.

Burn (Havok album)

Burn is the first full-length album recorded by the thrash metal band, Havok. It was released in 2009 on Candlelight Records.

Background

Drum, bass and guitar recording started in mid-2008 in the basement of singer/guitarist David Sanchez's mother's house, in Lakewood, CO. It took roughly 6 months. Vocals were recorded later at Motaland Studios in Denver with engineer Bart McCrorey, who also mixed the album. The band did not work with a producer due to a limited budget of roughly $2,500.

Halsey Swain provided the artwork after an earlier version of the same concept by another artist was rejected.

The album consists of 5 tracks that had been previously released on various EPs or demos and 7 tracks that were original to the album. Bassist Justin Cantrell contributed "Morbid Symmetry" to the songwriting process, but left the band before recording began. This track was designated the "single" for the album, though no actual single was ever released. Jessie De Los Santos replaced him. Drummer Ryan Bloom left the band shortly before the album's release date and was not permanently replaced until 2010. His credit on the album reads, "drum tracks by Ryan Bloom," and he was the lyricist for "Ivory Tower."

Burn (Fear Factory EP)

Burn is an EP by American heavy metal band Fear Factory, released in 1997 by Roadrunner Records. The title track, "Burn" is a remix of "Flashpoint" (a track from the Demanufacture album), which appears on the Remanufacture album. Burn has sold over 5,000 copies.

Omega (Alyson Avenue album)

Omega is the second studio album by Alyson Avenue, and the band's final album with lead vocalist Anette Olzon. It was released on May 6, 2004, by the label AOR Heaven. It was re-released on July 14, 2009, along with their first album Presence of Mind. Omega II comes with five exclusive bonus tracks with Anette Olzon, and their first single "I Am (Your Pleasuremaker)".

Background

Before being selected by Nightwish as their lead singer in 2007, Anette Olzon fronted Alyson Avenue a Swedish melodic rock band, subsequently releasing two substantial studio albums. Omega is the second one, originally released in 2004.

Those experienced in the side projects of `Nightwish' members, probably noted Anette's guest appearance on "Brother Firetribe's" second album (AOR band featuring `Nightwish' guitarist and `Leverage' vocalist). The sound of "Alyson Avenue" is fairly similar to that of "...Firetribe" with a significant differentiation in the fact that "...Avenue" is very much guitar oriented melodic hard rock and not as key-driven. In fact the guitar parts are surprisingly thick, incorporating rhythm patterns and solos which remind one of late 80s `Whitesnake' (on their AOR moments).

Omega is one of the most successful Hungarian rock bands.

Biography

Formed in Budapest in September, 1962 by the winds player László Benkő on organ and János Kóbor as a singer and rhythm guitarist, they initially performed covers of British and American rock songs, frequently changing the lineup of members. In 1967 Tamás Mihály came on bass, Gábor Presser joined on keyboards and began writing original music for the band (in 1968 György Molnár became a lead guitarist), contributing to the release of three LPs before leaving the band with József Laux, a drummer from 1962, to form Locomotiv GT in spring 1971. These first albums were heavily influenced by the music of The Beatles and psychedelic rock, but they also looked forward to the band's future more hard rock, then progressive and space rock styles. After Presser and Laux's departure, the band found a new drummer (Ferenc Debreceni (later as Debreczeni) came from group Neoton) and appointed Benkő as the main keyboardsman, in August 1971 creating the current lineup, which has remained the same for over 30 years:

Omega (camera)

Omega is the name of various medium-format cameras and enlargers. The Simmon Brothers, known for their line of enlargers, built the original Simmon Omega cameras in the United States. These rangefinder cameras took 6x7cm photographs on 120 roll film. Later, Konica manufactured the Koni Omega line. The last models, including the Rapid Omega 200, came from Mamiya. This line had interchangeable lenses, including a 58 (or 60) mm wide-angle, a 90 mm normal lens, a 135 mm portrait lens, and a 180 mm telephoto. A close-up adapter was popular with wedding photographers.

Another line, the Omegaflex, was a twin-lens reflex camera. Its lenses and accessories were not interchangeable with those from the Omega line. The Omegaflex took 6x7 rectangular pictures on 120 roll film.

Backs: The Omegaflex film holder interchanges with the Omega M, 100 (Press 2 in Japan) and 200, and permits mid-roll changes on the Omegaflex, M, and 200. The earlier Koni Omega Rapid (Press in Japan) film holder is not compatible with the above, and does not permit mid-roll changes.
