Bud'da

Bud'da (real name Stephen Anderson) is an American West Coast hip hop producer, songwriter, composer and rapper for artists such as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Xzibit and Aaliyah. Bud'da was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and began his career with production for Da Lench Mob Records' group Kausion. He went on to work with a wide range of artists including Xzibit, Nas, Timbaland, Shanice, Lenny Kravitz, Tank, Dawn Robinson of En Vogue, King T, Dr. Dre, Aaliyah, and Ice Cube. It was with Ice Cube that Bud'da came into more prominence. Producing five tracks on the Ice Cube-led Westside Connection album “Bow Down”, along with WC and Mack 10, including the title track “Bow Down”, Bud’da became a reputable producer while revitalizing the west coast sound amidst the East vs. West era.

Through the successful Westside Connection stint, and the mutual acquaintance of fellow Pittsburgh producer Sam Sneed, Dr. Dre wanted to feature snippets of a Bud’da-produced track in the beginning and end of the 2pac & Dr. Dre video for “California Love,” off Tupac Shakur’s All Eyez on Me. Soon after Dr. Dre’s historic departure from Death Row Records, Bud’da was once again recruited by Dr. Dre to co-produce the lead single “Been There, Done That” off the “Dr. Dre Presents…The Aftermath” compilation project.

Buddah Records

Buddah Records (later known as Buddha Records) was founded in 1967 in New York City. The label was born out of Kama Sutra Records, an MGM Records-distributed label, which remained a key imprint following Buddah's founding. Buddah handled a variety of music genres, including bubblegum pop (the Ohio Express and the 1910 Fruitgum Company), folk-rock (Melanie), experimental music (Captain Beefheart), and soul (Gladys Knight & the Pips).

In addition to the Buddah imprint, the company distributed many other independent labels, including Kama Sutra Records (after Kama Sutra cut their distribution ties with MGM in 1969), Curtom Records (Curtis Mayfield), T-Neck Records (the Isley Brothers), Charisma Records (Genesis, Monty Python), Sussex Records (Bill Withers), Hot Wax Records (Holland-Dozier-Holland post-Motown productions) and smaller subsidiaries.

History

Kama Sutra Records helped bolster MGM Records' profits during 1965 and 1966, primarily due to the success of Kama Sutra's flagship artists The Lovin' Spoonful. Kama Sutra's head, Art Kass ultimately grew dissatisfied with his distribution deal with MGM and started Buddah Records in 1967, with his Kama Sutra partners, Artie Ripp, Hy Mizrahi, Phil Steinberg, and (allegedly)Italian mobster Sonny Franzese.

Blink-182 discography

The discography of Blink-182, an American rock band formed in Poway, California, near San Diego, California, in 1992, consists of six studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, two extended plays, and numerous singles and videos, many of which were commercially successful. The trio consisted of bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. DeLonge has since been removed from the group, while Hoppus and Barker maintain their status as members. Scott Raynor was the band's original drummer; he was fired from the group midway through a 1998 tour.

The band recorded three demos, including the commercially available Buddha, before signing to San Diego-based independent label Cargo Music in 1994. Cargo Music issued the band's debut album, Cheshire Cat, in 1995. The band also released several split singles with other bands and their first extended play during this time. The band signed with major label MCA Records to co-distribute 1997's Dude Ranch, which featured their first rock radio hit, "Dammit". Enema of the State (1999) was an enormous success on the strength of hit singles "What's My Age Again?" and "All the Small Things", which became airplay and MTV staples. It has sold 4.54 million units to date in the U.S. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001) reached number 1 in the United States, Canada, and Germany. The eponymously titled Blink-182 followed in 2003 and marked a stylistic shift for the group, infusing experimental elements into their usual pop punk formula, resulting in a more mature sound. DeLonge left the group in 2005, sending the band into what was termed an "indefinite hiatus." The trio reunited in 2009 During the 2009 Grammy Awards. Their sixth studio album, Neighborhoods, was released in 2011. Dogs Eating Dogs, an extended play containing new material, was self-released by the band when they departed longtime label DGC in 2012.

Karma (clothing)

Karma is a popular Pakistani fashion label started by designers Kamiar Rokni and Maheen Ali in 2001. Karma is recognized as one of the rare Pakistani labels that has introduced Western-style garments, such as cocktail dresses and evening gowns, to the Pakistan.

Karma currently operates three lines of clothing: formal, bridal, and ready-to-wear. Karma Couture, the company's first line, is a made-to-order formal clothing label, with prices starting from Rs. 18,000 (approx. $300 USD). Karma Wedding is the label's bridal line, starting at Rs. 50,000 (approx. $800 USD). Karma Pink is the label's newest line, offering ready-to-wear garments ranging from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 15,000 (approx. $30 to $250 USD). Karma plans to introduce a Karma Accessories line in 2006, offering custom jewellery, bags, shoes and other accessory products.

The company's management duties were taken over in 2003 by Pakistani businessman Saad Ali (Maheen Ali's husband) who has since been the label's CEO. Karma currently employs over 200 people, and is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Ina, Kapatid, Anak

Ina, Kapatid, Anak (Lit: Mother, Sibling, Child / English: Her Mother's Daughter) is a 2012 Philippine family drama television series directed by Don M. Cuaresma and Jojo A. Saguin, starring Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador, together with an ensemble cast. The series was aired on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel from October 8, 2012 to June 14, 2013, replacing Lorenzo's Time. The show is now airing in Tanzania on Star TV and Kenya on KTN in Africa.

The drama follows the lives of Celyn (Kim Chiu), Margaux (Maja Salvador), Liam (Xian Lim), and Ethan (Enchong Dee) and their struggles for power, acceptance, family and love.

The show was extended due to success in viewership ratings. The second season aired on January 14, 2013 with the episode featuring the grand revelation of Celyn being the daughter of Julio and Beatriz, while the third and final season aired on March 7, 2013 with the series opened a new chapter with a time skip focusing on the characters' young-adult stage and business rivalry.

Reddit

Reddit (/ˈrɛdɪt/) is an entertainment, social news networking service, and news website where registered community members can submit content, such as text posts or direct links, making it essentially an online bulletin board system. Registered users can then vote submissions up or down to organize the posts and determine their position on the site's pages. Content entries are organized by areas of interest called "subreddits". The subreddit topics include news, gaming, movies, music, books, fitness, food, and photosharing, among many others. As of 2015, the website had 542 million monthly visitors (234 million unique users), ranking 14th most visited web-site in US and 36th in the world. Across 2015, Reddit saw 82.54 billion pageviews, 73.15 million submissions, 725.85 million comments, and 6.89 billion upvotes from its users.

Reddit was founded by University of Virginia roommates Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005. Condé Nast Publications acquired the site in October 2006. Reddit became a direct subsidiary of Condé Nast's parent company, Advance Publications, in September 2011. As of August 2012, Reddit operates as an independent entity, although Advance is still its largest shareholder. Reddit is based in San Francisco, California. In October 2014 Reddit raised $50 million in a funding round led by Sam Altman and including investors Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Snoop Dogg and Jared Leto. Their investment saw the company valued at $500 million.
