Rio Brito or Brito River is a river in the southwestern part of Nicaragua that drains into the Pacific Ocean near Punta Brito, a promontory. The river valley is planned to be transformed by the Nicaraguan Canal and Development Project to serve as the conduit for the western part of the Nicaragua Canal. About 14.5 km upstream the triple-chambered Brito Lock will be constructed to raise ships to the level of Lake Nicaragua.

The river can dry out as seen during the 2014 drought.

    Sigo De Pie

    by: Brito

    Sobrevivi ya ves,
    Me levante
    No me rendi
    CORO
    Sigo de pie
    Y aqui estoy
    Lleno de fe
    Y de valor
    Sigo de pie
    Y con amor
    Dejo mi luz donde voy
    Yo sigo de pie
Y aunque tambien he dejado heridas
En la piel de quien ame,
Yo seguire creyendo en lo que soy
Y tantas veces dude si podria
Ser de nuevo lo que fui
Al final siempre escuche tu voz
    CORO:
    Sigo de pie
    Y aqui estoy
    Y aqui estoy (aqui estoy)
    Lleno de fe
    Y de valor
    Sigo de pie
    Y con amor
    Dejo mi luz donde voy
    Sigo de pie
    Sigo de pie
