Cyllene (moon)

Cyllene (/sᵻˈliːniː/ sə-LEE-nee; Greek: Κυλλήνη), also known as Jupiter XLVIII, is a natural satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by a team of astronomers from the University of Hawaii led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2003, receiving the temporary designation S/2003 J 13.

Cyllene is about 2 kilometres in diameter, and orbits Jupiter at an average distance of 23,396 Mm in 731.099 days, at an inclination of 140° to the ecliptic (140° to Jupiter's equator), in a retrograde direction and with an eccentricity of 0.4116.

It was named in March 2005 after Cyllene, a naiad (stream nymph) or oread (mountain nymph) associated with Mount Kyllini, Greece. She was a daughter of Zeus (Jupiter).

It belongs to the Pasiphae group, irregular retrograde moons orbiting Jupiter at distances ranging between 22.8 and 24.1 Gm, and with inclinations ranging between 144.5° and 158.3°.

S/2003 J 9 is a retrograde irregular satellite of Jupiter. It was discovered by a team of astronomers from the University of Hawaii led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2003.

S/2003 J 9 is about 1 kilometre in diameter, and orbits Jupiter at an average distance of 23,858 Mm in 752.839 days, at an inclination of 165° to the ecliptic (165° to Jupiter's equator), in a retrograde direction and with an eccentricity of 0.276.

It belongs to the Carme group, made up of irregular retrograde moons orbiting Jupiter at a distance ranging between 23 and 24 Gm and at an inclination of about 165°.

Brimful of Asha

"Brimful of Asha" is a 1997 single by British alternative rock band Cornershop, which originally reached number 60 in the UK Singles Chart in 1997. After a remixed version by Norman Cook became a radio and critical success, the song was re-released and reached number one in the UK chart in February 1998 and #16 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The lyrics are a tribute to Asha Bhosle.

Background

This song is based upon the history of film culture in India. Since their introduction, Indian films have relied heavily on song-and-dance numbers. Almost always, the singing was performed by background singers while the actors and actresses lip-sync. Asha Bhosle is one of these playback singers who has sung over 12,000 songs and is referred to as "Sadi rani" (Punjabi for "our queen") at one point in the lyrics. In the slower, original album recording, playback singers Lata Mangeshkar (her older sibling) and Mohammad Rafi (one of the top male playback singers of the mid-century) are mentioned. The lyrics in the bridge contain a number of references to non-Indian music, including Georges Brassens' song "Les Amoureux des bancs publics", Jacques Dutronc, Marc Bolan, Argo Records and Trojan Records.
