Bridford is a village in south west England, located in the Teign Valley, Devon on the edge of Dartmoor. Bridford is twinned with Saint-Vaast-sur-Seulles, a village in the Normandy region of France.
Bridford has a thriving village pub called the Bridford Inn run by Dean & Lyn Staniforth which incorporates the village shop. The pub has an excellent reputation and is a real hub in the village.
Bridford's church is small with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The church is called St. Thomas Becket. There is also a tiny Methodist chapel in the centre of the village.
The Post Office visits every Friday in the village hall and the doctors surgery is open five days a week in neighbouring Christow. Moorgate vets have a small surgery just outside the village and there is an MOT and general servicing garage and garden centre all within a mile of Bridford.
There is an excellent, well equipped children's play park, a lovely village garden and a village hall. The village also has a two acre Woodland Trust nature reserve and Rowdon Woods which is wonderful for walking.
