Breathing

Breathing is the process that moves air in and out of the lungs, or oxygen through other respiratory organs such as gills. For organisms with lungs, breathing is also called ventilation, which includes both inhalation and exhalation. Breathing is one part of physiological respiration required to sustain life.Aerobic organisms of birds, mammals, and reptiles—require oxygen to release energy via cellular respiration, in the form of the metabolism of energy-rich molecules such as glucose. Breathing is only one of the processes that deliver oxygen to where it is needed in the body and remove carbon dioxide. Another important process involves the movement of blood by the circulatory system.Gas exchange occurs in the pulmonary alveoli by passive diffusion of gases between the alveolar gas and the blood in lung capillaries. Once these dissolved gases are in the blood, the heart powers their flow around the body (via the circulatory system). The medical term for normal relaxed breathing is eupnea.

Breath (Breaking Benjamin song)

"Breath" is the second single and the third track from post-grunge/alternative metal band Breaking Benjamin's third album, Phobia. It was the band's fourth charted song on the U.S. Hot 100 overall, and the second from Phobia. Although "Breath" failed to capture the pop success of The Diary of Jane at #50 where "Breath" hit #84 on the Billboard Hot 100, it was more successful on the rock charts where it hit #1 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, making it Breaking Benjamin's first number-one hit staying there for seven weeks where "The Diary of Jane" hit #2 and it also hit #3 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart tying with So Cold as their highest-charting single on the chart where "The Diary of Jane" hit #4.

A contest was held in which fans create a music video for "Breath", called the Breath Fan Video Contest, and the band and label selected 4 videos as finalists. The winning video was officially released March 30, 2008 on YouTube. The video can also be seen at the band's official site. The single was eventually certified platinum by the RIAA in 2015.

Breath was a Japanese rock duo. Its members were Kanatsuki Takuya and Kikuchi Kazuhito. They broke up in October 2005.

Joyà

Joyà is a 70 minute long, resident show at the Vidanta resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico produced as a collaboration between 45 degrees and it's parent company Cirque du Soleil. It is Cirque's first resident show in Latin America. Joya premiered on November 8, 2014 inside the custom-built Joyà theatre, which seats 600 guests at capacity. The exterior design of the theatre was inspired by organic forms in a clearing surrounded by trees. The story, set in a naturalist's library which transforms into other exotic locations, follows the journey of a "rebellious young girl [who] is sent by her mischievous grandfather on a fantastical quest spanning generations".

Unlike other Cirque du Soleil productions, Joya is an "intimate theatrical and culinary experience" in that patrons have the option to enjoy the show along with a specially designed degustation menu at private tables around the stage, or simply have a glass of champagne with canapés on top of the show ticket. The show also incorporates smell into the acts, providing an all-around "feast for the senses".

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is the most common English title of the 10th and last movement of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147 ("Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life"), composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1716 and 1723.

A transcription by the English pianist Myra Hess (1890–1965) was published in 1926 for piano solo and in 1934 for piano duet. The British organist Peter Hurford made his organ transcription for the chorale movement as well. Today, it is often performed at wedding ceremonies as well as during Christian festive seasons like Christmas and Easter, slowly and reverently. This is, however, in contrast to the effect suggested by Bach in his original scoring, for voices with trumpet, oboes, strings, and continuo.

Background

Much of the music of Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben comes from Bach's Weimar period. This earlier version (BWV 147a, composed 1716) lacked the recitatives, but included the opening chorus and the four arias incorporated into the later version. For Leipzig (composed 1723), Bach added three recitatives and the celebrated chorale movement which concludes each of the two parts.
