Lockdown

There are several definitions for the term lockdown, the most common of which pertains to a state of containment or a restriction of progression. A lockdown is an emergency protocol to prevent people or information from escaping, which usually can only be ordered by someone in command. Lockdowns are also used to protect people inside a facility or, for example, a computing system, from a dangerous external event.

There may be various levels of lockdown. For example, in the case of buildings, a partial lockdown means that the doors leading outside of the building are locked and people may not exit or enter the building. A full lockdown means that people must stay where they are and may not exit or enter a classroom, apartment unit, store unit, an office space, condo unit or the building. If people are in a hallway they must go into the nearest classroom, apartment unit, condo unit, office space or store unit.

Types

In prisons

In its most common usage in corrections units, the term lockdown can be defined as a course of action to control the movement of inmates. Confining all prisoners, except workers, to their cells until the end of the day is an example of a "lockdown period" in a corrections schedule. However a "full lockdown" is used when all prisoners are locked in their cells to prevent a riot or unrest from spreading or during an emergency.

12 Rounds 3: Lockdown (also known as 12 Rounds 3 or 12 Rounds: Lockdown) is a 2015 American action film starring Dean Ambrose in his first American film debut and directed by Stephen Reynolds. It is the sequel to the 2013 film 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded starring Randy Orton and directed by Roel Reiné. It is the third installment in the 12 Rounds trilogy and the second of six films, titled the 'Action Six-Pack' series, to be co-produced by WWE Studios and Lionsgate, who distribute the film. This is the first film in the series not to be released by 20th Century Fox, and was released in select theaters across the United States, and on demand on September 11, 2015.

Plot

Detective Tyler Burke (Roger Cross) and his two men infiltrate the house of a drug dealer George Freemont, with whom he had been secretly collaborating with to sell police-confiscated narcotics, asking him for Freemont's proof of their collaboration. They destroy Freemont's laptop, and Burke shoots Freemont after making it look like Freemont shot first.

Haven (season 2)

The second season of the American television series Haven premiered on July 15, 2011, on Syfy. The season consisted of 13 episodes including a Christmas episode. The show stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour.

Production

On October 7, 2010, Syfy announced that Haven would begin production on a thirteen-episode second season to begin airing July 15, 2011. On March 22, 2011, SyFy announced that they would air a Christmas special of Haven during season two.

Breaker (G.I. Joe)

Breaker is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline, comic books and cartoon series. He is the G.I. Joe Team's original communications officer and debuted in 1982.

Profile

His real name is Alvin R. Kibbey, and his rank is that of corporal E-4. Breaker was born in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Breaker is familiar with all NATO and Warsaw Pact communication gear, as well as most world export devices. His primary military specialty is Infantry, and as his secondary military specialty he is a radio telecommunications technician. His specialized education includes Signal School, where he studied covert electronics and was involved with Project GAMMA. He is a qualified expert in the M-16, M-1911A1, and MAC-10 (Ingram). Breaker is described as "efficient and self-assured, and has an uncanny ability to turn adverse situations to his favor." He also speaks seven languages.

Breaker is the link between the battlefield and headquarters and has the ability to call in an air strike, provide artillery coordinates, request a MedEvac or find an extraction site. Breaker constantly monitors all radio frequencies, providing situation reports to the command center. He also has the ability to crack enemy codes and to jam their transmissions. He is well liked by his teammates, although he has a habit of chewing bubble gum in any situation.

Breaker (Vary Lumar album)

Breaker is the third studio album by the Boston alternative rock band Vary Lumar. Experiencing a lull in morale following the exit of original guitarist Ben Case, the band found themselves revitalized after a string of singles and performances with new member Christopher G. Brown. Working again with longtime producer Sean McLaughlin at 37' Productions, the band spent much of the Summer of 2014 tracking the album. A successful Kickstarter campaign enabled the album to be released on vinyl.

Breaker was released to local acclaim, with The Boston Herald,The Noise, and DigBoston all praising the energy and composition of the album.

Breaker (hydraulic)

A breaker is a powerful percussion hammer fitted to an excavator for demolishing concrete structures or rocks. It is powered by an auxiliary hydraulic system from the excavator, which is fitted with a foot-operated valve for this purpose. Additionally, demolition crews employ the hoe ram for jobs too large for jackhammering or areas where blasting is not possible due to safety or environmental issues.

Breakers are often referred to as "hammers", "peckers", "hoe rams" or "hoe rammers." These terms are popular and commonly used amongst construction/demolition workers.

The first hydraulic breaker "Hydraulikhammer HM 400" was invented in 1967 by German company Krupp (today German company Atlas Copco) in Essen.
