Tune (company)

Tune (stylized as TUNE) is a mobile platform company based in Seattle, Washington. It was previously named HasOffers, changing its name in 2014. The company produces two lines of SaaS: Tune Marketing Console and HasOffers.

Company History

The company was initially founded as HasOffers in 2009 by twin brothers Lucas and Lee Brown. The twins bootstrapped the company, using their own finances to found the firm. The company’s CEO is Peter Hamilton, who was promoted to the position in 2012. By 2011 the company was measuring $300 million in partner payouts. In 2013 it received $9.4 million in funding from Accel. Then, in 2014 it changed its name to Tune, the name coming from the idea of helping customers better “tune” their marketing campaigns. By the end of 2014 the company had $40 million in revenues. That year they also acquired two more private companies, without releasing their names. In 2015 the company received $27 million in series B funding, from Icon Ventures. The company is headquartered in Seattle, and has offices in San Francisco, New York City, London, Dallas, Tel Aviv, Seoul, and Berlin. In February 2014, HasOffers and Mobile App Tracking were removed as a Facebook Mobile Measurement Partner for violating Facebook's device-level sharing policy. In 2015, Tune acquired Artisan Mobile, a Philadelphia-based start-up that app developers use to track their projects.

Boom! is an American reality television series that aired on Spike TV in 2005 and was hosted by Kourtney Klein. It featured a group of demolition experts using explosives to destroy objects such as trailers, houses, boats and cars. Often, the suggestions on what should be blown up were sent in by home viewers via a "BOOM! Mailbag". Each episode covered obtaining the materials (such as the item to be destroyed), cleaning, gutting, and rigging the thing with explosives, and then making the final countdown and pushing the detonator, and watching the devastation.

Boom! (film)

Boom! is a 1968 British drama film starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Noël Coward, directed by Joseph Losey, and adapted from the play The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore by Tennessee Williams.

Plot

Flora 'Sissy' Goforth (Taylor, in a part written for an older woman) is a terminally ill woman living with a coterie of servants in a large mansion on a secluded island. Into her life comes a mysterious man, Christopher Flanders, nicknamed "Angelo Del Morte" (played by then-husband Burton, in a part intended for a very young man). The mysterious man may or may not be "The Angel of Death".

The interaction between Goforth and Flanders forms the backbone of the plot, with both of the major characters voicing lines of dialogue that carry allegorical and Symbolist significance. Secondary characters chime in, such as "the Witch of Capri" (Coward). The movie mingles respect and contempt for human beings who, like Goforth, continue to deny their own death even as it draws closer and closer. It examines how these characters can enlist and redirect their fading erotic drive into the reinforcement of this denial.

The Cham Islands (Vietnamese: Cù lao Chàm) constitute a group of 8 small islands of Quảng Nam, which form a part of the Cu Lao Cham Marine Park, a world Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO, in the South China Sea in Vietnam. The islands are approachable from Cửa Đại beach. The islands are also recognized as Vietnam's national scenic site.

The islands grouped under the Cham Islands are: the Hòn Lao (Pearl), Hòn Dài (long), Hòn Mồ (tomb), Hòn Khô mẹ, Hòn Khô con (dry), Hòn Lá (leaf), Hòn Tai (ear) and Hòn Ông (east wind). The Cham Islands are under the administration of Tân Hiệp Commune of Hội An city in Quảng Nam Province.

Cu Lao Cham Islands' ancient landscape offers many sand beaches, forested hills and the sea. Facilities for camping, swimming and scuba diving are available. The corals and marine life are an attraction in these island waters.

Cu Lao Cham island group is an lower extension in SE of the granite block named Bach Ma - Hai Van - Son Tra belonging to the Hai Van complex of early Triassic age, mainly composed of biotite granite and two-mica granites .

Cham dance

The cham dance (Tibetan: འཆམ་, Wylie: 'cham ; Chinese: 跳欠; pinyin: tiàoqiàn), is a lively masked and costumed dance associated with some sects of Tibetan Buddhism and Buddhist festivals. The dance is accompanied by music played by monks using traditional Tibetan instruments. The dances often offer moral instruction relating to compassion for sentient beings and are held to bring merit to all who perceive them.

Cham dances are considered a form of meditation and an offering to the gods. The leader of the cham is typically a musician, keeping time using some percussion instrument like cymbals, the one exception being Dramyin Cham, where time is kept using dramyin.

The great debate of the Council of Lhasa between the two principal debators or dialecticians, Moheyan and Kamalaśīla is narrated and depicted in a specific cham dance once held annually at Kumbum Monastery in Qinghai.
