Boibe (Greek: Βοίβη) was a town and lake of ancient Thessaly, mentioned in the Homeric "Catalogue of Ships" passage:And they that dwelt in Pherae beside the lake Boebeïs, and in Boebe, and Glaphyrae, and well-built Iolcus, these were led by the dear son of Admetus with eleven ships. According to Strabo, Boibe participated in the 3rd century BC synoecism of Demetrias.
