Bob Wright
Robert Charles "Bob" Wright (born 1943) is an American media executive and businessman.
Biography
Early life and career
Wright joined American broadcaster NBC as president and chief executive officer in 1986, and was named chairman and CEO in 2001. He then served as chairman and chief executive officer of NBC Universal from May 2004 until February 2007. With more than two decades at the helm of one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies, Wright had one of the longest and most successful tenures of any media company chief executive. Before taking the helm of NBC, Wright had a diversified career in general management, marketing, and media, much of it with General Electric, where he served as vice chairman and executive officer. Among other roles, he was president of GE Financial Services and president of Cox Cable Communications.
In 2004, he and his wife, Suzanne, founded Autism Speaks, which has become the leading advocacy and research-funding organization devoted to autism. As of January 2016 Wright is serving as Senior Advisor at Lee Equity Partners.

Robert Cassius Wright (December 13, 1891 – July 30, 1993) was an American right-handed professional baseball pitcher. He played two games in Major League Baseball for the Chicago Cubs in 1915. He was born in Decatur County, Indiana and died in Carmichael, California.

Bob Wright (greyhound trainer)
Robert Wright (1886–1943) was an English greyhound trainer, and the second eldest son of Joe Wright, who had achieved training success with two Waterloo Cup winners in the late 19th century. A member of a famous family of greyhound trainers for the Waterloo Cup and a well-known figure on the track, Bob, as he was known, trained for many years at La Mancha Kennels, Halsall, near Ormskirk, Lancashire. There he trained for Major Cuthbert Blundell and Mr H Pilkington.

Bob Wright (footballer)
Robert Cooper Allen "Bob" Wright (born 20 February 1915 in Glasgow, Scotland) was a Scottish footballer who played as a left half. He made over 20 Football League appearances in the years before the Second World War.
Career
"Bob" Wright played locally for Horden Colliery Welfare. Bob Wright signed for Charlton Athletic in May 1937 for £100 from Horden Colliery Welfare. He made 28 appearances for Charlton Athletic before the Second World War. Wright spent much of the war abroad but did make 47 wartime appearances for Charlton Athletic and 19 wartime appearances for Middlesbrough. Wright retired from playing in 1947.
After retiring from playing Bob Wright became assistant manager to Jimmy Seed at Charlton Athletic in September 1947. He was appointed Bristol City manager in April 1949. He complained that he was not given a free hand by the Bristol City board of directors and resigned in June 1950. He was a licensee in Bristol until joining Bristol Rovers as assistant manager to Bert Tann in July 1951 leaving that post again in July 1952. He became the licensee of the "White Hart" in Lower Maudlin Street in Bristol.
