Blue is the colour between violet and green on the optical spectrum of visible light. Human eyes perceive blue when observing light with a wavelength between 450 and 495 nanometres. Blues with a higher frequency and thus a shorter wavelength gradually look more violet, while those with a lower frequency and a longer wavelength gradually appear more green. Pure blue, in the middle, has a wavelength of 470 nanometres. In painting and traditional colour theory, blue is one of the three primary colours of pigments, along with red and yellow, which can be mixed to form a wide gamut of colours. Red and blue mixed together form violet, blue and yellow together form green. Blue is also a primary colour in the RGB colour model, used to create all the colours on the screen of a television or computer monitor.
The modern English word blue comes from Middle English bleu or blewe, from the Old French bleu, a word of Germanic origin, related to the Old High German word blao. The clear sky and the deep sea appear blue because of an optical effect known as Rayleigh scattering. When sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the blue wavelengths are scattered more widely by the oxygen and nitrogen molecules, and more blue comes to our eyes. Rayleigh scattering also explains blue eyes; there is no blue pigment in blue eyes. Distant objects appear more blue because of another optical effect called atmospheric perspective.
Blue is an scheduling discipline for the network scheduler developed by graduate student Wu-chang Feng for Professor Kang G. Shin at the University of Michigan and others at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center of IBM in 1999.
Like random early detection (RED), it operates by randomly dropping or marking packet with explicit congestion notification mark before the transmit buffer of the network interface controller overflows. Unlike RED, however, it requires little or no tuning to be performed by the network administrator. A Blue queue maintains a drop/mark probability p, and drops/marks packets with probability p as they enter the queue. Whenever the queue overflows, p is increased by a small constant pd, and whenever the queue is empty, p is decreased by a constant pi < pd.
If the mix of traffic on the interface does not change, p will slowly converge to a value that keeps the queue within its bounds with full link utilization.
"Blue" is the second major and sixth overall single release by the Japanese band Vivid. The single was released in three different versions: two limited CD+DVD editions (A+B) and a regular CD only edition. Each limited edition contains a different type of the title song's music video, but differs in the second live track: A comes with ""Yume" ~Mugen no Kanata~", while B comes with the unreleased song "Ril". Both live performances were taped during their last indies oneman live, which was released as the DVD Indies Last: Vivid Oneman Live "Kousai Genesis". The regular edition contains the B-side track "Re:Load", and the first press of this edition with an original Bleach cover jacket and one randomly chosen trading card (out of a possible six). The title track was used as an opening theme song in the anime Bleach. The single reached number 4 on the Oricon weekly charts, where it charted for eight weeks.
"Girls" is a song by American hip hop group the Beastie Boys, released in 1987 as well as the music video as the seventh and final single from their debut album Licensed to Ill. Like "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)", this song was never performed live and it is one of the few songs on the album that are not in the vein of their standard rap songs.
The song is the shortest on the album, lasting just over 2 minutes long. The song's instrumental is relatively simple, consisting of a drum beat being played over a vibraphone loop, with occasional pauses. The song contains many similarities to the song "Shout" by The Isley Brothers.
Lyrically, the song talks about the narrator (Ad-Rock)'s desire for women. He recalls a experience from two years before with a woman who had an interest in the narrator's band mate MCA. MCA did not share her feelings and permitted the narrator to pursue her romantically. Ad-Rock takes the woman for a walk near a body of water and asks for her hand. The woman rejects his proposal. She moves to a far away location but in the present day the narrator sees her back in town showing interest in his other band mate, Mike D.
Choi Dong-wook (born November 9, 1984), better known by his stage name Se7en, is a South Korean singer, who has also advanced into Japan, China and the United States.

Pulp is a 1972 British comedy thriller film, directed by Mike Hodges and starring Michael Caine as Mickey King, a writer of cheap paperback detective novels. The film features the final screen appearance of Lizabeth Scott.
King lives in Rome churning out a string of violent, sexually charged noir novels with titles like My Gun Is Long under an array of pen names like "S. Odomy".
King is offered an abnormally large sum to ghostwrite the autobiography of a mystery celebrity. The intrigued King agrees and is transported to a remote island (Malta, where Pulp was shot), during which time he will make contact with a representative for the celebrity. King meets a man named Miller (Al Lettieri), who identifies himself as an English professor. King assumes Miller is the mysterious contact -- until discovering Miller dead in his bathtub after a hotel room mix-up.
Finally arriving on the island, King meets his subject: Preston Gilbert (Mickey Rooney). A retired movie star, Gilbert is known for portraying gangsters and notorious for hanging out with real-life mobsters off the set (a la actors George Raft and Frank Sinatra). Now suffering from cancer, the pompous, vain Gilbert wants King to immortalize his life story before he dies.
The blue girls that bake in the sun / Skin falls in flakes from each one
Like leaves from autumn trees / they float upon the breeze
These girls you have loved / are slowly decaying
Ah / Drying out in the sun / before your eyes
Wild stares in your face / they seem to accuse you
Oh / What have you done / to earn this prize?
The flesh underneath candy-pink
Quite a strange affair you might think / They gasp and moan for air
Beached fish on your lawn-chair
These girls you have loved / are slowly decaying
Ah / Drying out in the sun / before your eyes
Wild stares in your face / they seem to accuse you
Oh / What have you done / to earn this prize?
Fragments left at the end of the day
A pile of blue that is soon swept away
Goodbye, blue girls, goodbye / Would it be too much to cry?
These girls you have loved / have slowly decayed
Ah / They dried out in the sun / before your eyes
Wild stares in your face / they seem to accuse you
