Blood Tsunami is a Norwegian thrash metal band from Oslo. Formed by Peter Michael Kolstad Vegem in 2004 and they are now signed to Indie Recordings. They used to incorporate elements of Death Metal and NWOBHM in their music but now, on their latest album "For Faen!", they deliver "old school Thrash Metal with a strong 80's feeling and a distinctive punk edge."
Lead vocalist and lead guitarist Peter Michael Kolstad Vegem (a.k.a. Pete Evil) had been fronting his punk/rock' roll band, Hellride, for several years, but when this quartet called it quits during the fall of 2003, he decided it was time to do what he really wanted to do... Play metal! Pete began to write material for his yet unnamed metal band and quickly found his own style where he incorporated much melody in the guitars and topped it off with aggressive non-melodic vocals. In early January 2004 he formed Blood Tsunami.
Jørgen Nordli (a.k.a. Jay) joined on drums and the two immediately started rehearsing on Pete's material. The first Blood Tsunami song ever was "Killing Spree". Shortly after Pete found a bass player in Frode Sørskaar (a.k.a. Riff Randall) and Kristoffer Sørensen (a.k.a. Dor Amazon) joined on Lead Guitar.
I lay awake in the darkness
Haunted by ghosts from my past
Feels like I've been here forever
How long will this burning hell last?
It's like an endless battle
And there's no place to hide
It's like an endless battle
Where victory equals suicide
Suicide
Suicide
I've spent too much time on this planet
Stuck in this hell you call earth
Feels like I've been here forever
Living a life that's been cursed
It's like an endless battle
And there's no place to hide
It's like an endless battle
Where victory equals suicide
Suicide
Suicide
Nothing matters anymore
Nothing but this pain is real
There's only one way out of this
Burning hell I feel
My mind is my worst enemy
I can't find one reason to stay
I will release a river of blood
And drain my life away
It's like an endless battle
And there's no place to hide
It's like an endless battle
Where victory equals suicide
Suicide
