★ (pronounced "Blackstar") is the twenty-fifth and final studio album by English musician David Bowie. It was released worldwide through Bowie's ISO Records label on 8 January 2016, Bowie's 69th birthday and two days before his death.

"Lazarus" was released on 17 December 2015 as a digital download, and received its world premiere on BBC Radio 6 Music's Steve Lamacq Show the same day. Co-producer Tony Visconti said that Bowie had planned for it to be his swan song or "parting gift" for his fans before his death.
Blackstar was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, reaching the number one spot in a number of countries in the wake of Bowie's death. It sold 146,000 copies in its first week on sale in the United Kingdom (a week which saw four other Bowie albums in the top 10 and a further seven in the top 40, the latter equalling Elvis Presley's chart record). and more than 181,000 in the United States. Within days of the album's release, online retailer Amazon.com temporarily sold out of both the CD and LP editions of the album. In the week 11–17 January, Blackstar was the number 1 most downloaded album in 25 iTunes national charts.Blackstar became Bowie's first and only album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 album chart in the U.S. The album remained at the no. 1 position in the UK charts for three weeks before being replaced by one of Bowie's compilation albums, Best of Bowie.
★ (pronounced "Blackstar") is a song by English rock musician David Bowie. It was released as the lead single from his twenty-fifth and final studio album of the same name on 19 November 2015. "Blackstar" peaked at number 70 on the French Singles Chart and number 61 on the UK Singles Chart.
"Blackstar" is an art rock and jazztronica song. Also described as a "avant jazz sci-fi torch song", it features a "drum and bass rhythm, a two-note tonal melody inspired by Gregorian chant, and shifting time signatures." In the middle section, the song turns from an acid house-ish style to a sax solo to a bluesy slow middle section.
The song was originally over eleven minutes long, but after learning that iTunes would not post singles over ten minutes in length, Bowie and Visconti edited it down to 9:57, making it Bowie's second-longest track behind "Station to Station". Bowie did not want to confuse listeners by releasing different single and album versions.
I Need You is the third compilation album from American recording artist LeAnn Rimes. The album was first released on January 30, 2001, through Curb Records to help satisfy Rimes' recording contract obligations during litigation with the label and her management. Rimes publicly disowned the album just days after its release, causing it to be discontinued. The album was then officially released by Rimes on March 26, 2002, with four additional tracks and a new recording: "Light the Fire Within". In 2008, the album was released as a package with Rimes' debut album, Blue (1996).
I Need You received mixed reviews by music critics, who praised its pop appeal but criticized the selection of the songs, noting that none of them made a significant impact on the listeners. In the United States, the album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and reached number ten on the Billboard 200. Internationally, it peaked at number four on the Finnish Albums Chart, number ten on the Canadian Albums Chart, and number eleven on both the Austrian Albums Chart and the Irish Album Chart.
