Midnight blue

Midnight blue is a dark shade of blue named for its resemblance to the identifiably blue color of a moonlit night sky on or near the night of a full moon. Midnight blue is the color of a vat full of indigo dye; therefore, midnight blue may also be considered a dark shade of indigo. Midnight blue is identifiably blue to the eye in sunlight or full-spectrum light, but can appear black under certain more limited spectra sometimes found in artificial lighting (especially early 20th century incandescent). It is similar to navy, which is also a dark blue.

There are two major shades of midnight blue—the X11 color and the Crayola color. This color was originally called midnight. The first recorded use of midnight as a color name in English was in 1915.

Black & Blue (Backstreet Boys album)

Black & Blue is the fourth (third in the U.S.) album of the American vocal-pop group Backstreet Boys. It is their follow-up album from their 1999 studio release Millennium. The album recorded the best international sales in a week for an album in history by selling over 5 million copies in its first week of sales globally. In the United States, Black & Blue sold 1.6 million copies in its first week of release, making the Backstreet Boys the first group in Soundscan history to have million-plus first-week sales with back-to-back albums. As of 2007, the album has sold 24 million copies worldwide.

The first single from the album was "Shape of My Heart", followed by "The Call", and "More than That". The band members wrote two songs and co-wrote five songs on this album, a departure from previous albums, which showcased less of their own song-writing.

Background

The album is the fourth (third in the U.S.) studio album by Backstreet Boys and was recorded between July–September 2000. The album finds the band once again teaming with pop producer Max Martin, who produced the group's first two albums. In August 2000, the band gave fans their first glimpse of the album, including the track "It's True" on a series of CDs made available through Burger King. While talking to MTV, member A.J. McLean told that the album will incorporate rock, R&B, hip-hop, and even some country. McLean also revealed that Backstreet's Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson will be displaying their talents on drums and piano, respectively, on the album.

There are two Arsenal hooligan firms, named 'The Gooners' (a mutation of the club's nickname, The Gunners) and 'The Herd'.

The Gooners were a violent football hooligan firm mainly active in 1980s. However the name is now used by most Arsenal supporters (non-hooligans) who now consider themselves to be 'Gooners'.

The Herd is one of the Arsenal firms and was mainly active between the late 1970s and early 1990s, although it still exists today but prefers to stay undercover. The Herd are a violent football hooligan firm and have the distinctive war-cry E-I-E. The main rivals of The Herd in the 80s and in the present day are West Ham's I.C.F., Tottenham Hotspur's 'Yid Army', Chelsea's 'Headhunters' and Millwall's F-Troop (later known as the 'Millwall Bushwackers'). Although The Herd was mainly considered to be a violent firm, a few members were not physically violent. Dainton Connell (aka Danton 'The Bish' Connell) was considered a folk hero by many Arsenal fans but died in a car crash in 2007, where 3000 mourners attended his funeral. The Herd's two most notorious clashes were with Millwall fans at Highbury in 1988 and with Galatasaray fans in City Hall Square, Copenhagen in 2000.

The Herd (Turkish: Sürü) is a 1978 Turkish drama film, written, produced and co-directed by Yılmaz Güney with Zeki Ökten during Güney's second imprisonment, featuring Tarık Akan as a peasant, forced by a local blood feud to sell his sheep in far away Ankara. The film, which went on nationwide general release on September 27, 1978 (1978-09-27), was screened in competition at the 30th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won Interfilm and OCIC Awards, the Locarno International Film Festival, where it won Golden Leopard and Special Mention, was scheduled to compete in the cancelled 17th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, for which it received 6 Belated Golden Oranges, including Best Film and Best Director, was awarded the BFI Sutherland Trophy and was voted one of the 10 Best Turkish Films by the Ankara Cinema Association.
