Bhangar (Urdu: بهنگر) (Urdu: ) is a Sindhi tribe in Sindh and Balochistan in Pakistan.

Bhangar is a cast/tribe having a Sindhi Mother-tongue. The tribe is widely settled throughout Pakistan Including Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan but majority is settled in Balochistan province in districts of Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Quetta and Sibi as well as in some districts of Sindh Province including Jacobabad, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and others. Moreover, some of families from the Bhangar Tribe is sellted across the borders globally. Being related to Sindhi language they are often identified as Jamot (The term used to identify Sindhi speaking tribes in broad spectrum in Balochistan, Province).

History of Bhangars and Subdivisional / Clans process

According to Historic indicators and Tribal stories told by the incestros, the History of Bhangar starts a hundreds of years back during the time of edges while there was only two continents named Sindh and Hind. It is said that, a small group of Bhangar tribe families migrated from Hind continent to Sindh continent due to some tribal clashed faced by them while resided at Hind continent. At Sindh continent, that small group of migrated Bhangars resided at Goth Lunda which's current location after creation of subcontinents and geographical changes is (Goth Lunda, Tehsil Chhatar, District Naseerabad, Balochistan Province of Pakistan).

In short spell of time, the Goth Lunda became the central location point of Bhangar Tribe within Sindh continent. After spending some years at Goth Lunda the families started further migrations to near about locations which included Goth Qalandaranay, Goth Murad Wah, Goth Mihaani, Goth Hothyani, Goth Kundi, Goth Son wah, Goth Mondar, Goth Kajal pur, Goth Shakar wah, Goth Rais Ghulam Rasool (Aidlani), Goth Misri Khan Bhangar (Admani) and Goth Lunda (Balina).

is further subdevided into two major sects/clans of Sahriani and Chandrani. These two major clans are named after the incestors of Bhangars two brothers named Mohammad Sareh and Chand Khan.

Sardar Umar Daraz Khan is the current tribal leader of Bhangars. The tribe is further divided into many clans. The tribe consists of many public & governmental figures including public services, health, education & other professional aspects of life.
