Beware (EP)

Beware was the fifth release from the Lodi, New Jersey horror punk band The Misfits. Since it was originally intended to be available for the group's 1979 UK tour, it combined two earlier, out of print releases, with the substitution of one new track.

Album information

This 12" EP was co-released in the UK in January 1980 by Armageddon/Spartan Records and in the US by Glenn Danzig's Plan 9 Records as number PLP9. A pressing run of 3000 was ordered with 3120 actually being delivered by the pressing plant. A limited number of copies were sold within the US through the Misfits Fiend Club, which included an 8"x10" photo of the album cover as an insert.

The first four songs were the same mixes used on the Bullet EP, but with the tracks in reverse order. The other side was essentially the Horror Business EP. However, the song "Children In Heat" was replaced by the only previously unreleased track, "Last Caress."

The entire EP was recorded at C.I. Recording in New York City, but on two separate occasions, one year apart. Bullet had been recorded in January 1978. Horror Business was recorded one year later. "Last Caress" was also recorded at the first session, but was remixed, with reverb added to the vocals and a guitar overdub recorded in September 1979 by Glenn Danzig and Bobby Steele. It was the only track ever to be released from that particular mixing session.

Beware (Big Pun song)

"Beware" is a song by American rapper Big Pun, taken from his 1998 Grammy-nominated debut album Capital Punishment. The song samples the line "I gave you fair warning... beware...beware..." which was used in Mobb Deep's unreleased track "Shook Ones Part 1" and also on their The Infamous album track "Party Over". The song was also used in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, on the fictitious East Coast rap station "The Liberty Jam".

    Nemo (magazine)

Nemo, the Classic Comics Library was a magazine devoted to the history and creators of vintage comic strips. Created by comics historian Rick Marschall, it was published between 1983 and 1990 by Fantagraphics.

Nemo ran for 31 issues (the last being a double issue) plus one annual. Most issues were edited by Marschall. The title was taken from the classic comic strip Little Nemo. While some issues were thematic, most were a mix of articles, interviews, comic strip reprints and more.

Marschall later went on to co-found another magazine about comics, Hogan's Alley.

    Nemo Bookshelf

During that same period in the 1980s, Fantagraphics launched an imprint, Nemo Bookshelf, the Classic Comics Library. This was a line of classic comic strip reprint books, including Little Orphan Annie, Pogo, Red Barry, Dickie Dare, The Complete E. C. Segar Popeye and Prince Valiant.

Usean Coup of 1999 (Ace Combat 2)

    Unified Forces

    Scarface One

The main character of Ace Combat 2, Scarface One is an ace who achieves legendary status through the course of the war. He single-handedly destroys both the coup force Super Powerful Cruise Missiles, the Dragonet class submarine, all of Z.O.E. fighters and the Fortress Intolerance. His fate after the war is unknown.

    Kei Nagase

    See below for more info.

    John Harverd

John is the third member of Scarface Squadron (besides the main character and Nagase), and appears to be of the same ethnicity of Swordsman in AC5 and Keith in AC3. Slash's planes differ from Edge's in that Slash has better attacker aircraft. While not appearing again in any major form in the series storyline, he joins Ouroboros in AC3 according to a newscast. A person with the same name appears in AC04, patrolling over Stonehenge, and it is possible that they are in fact, the same person. One of the crew members of the Arkbird is also, by coincidence, named John Harvard. His hobby appears to be vehicle tuning and his favourite food is the hamburger.

    Automatic

    by: Burnham

I'm pretty sure that you're not good for me,
    But I like it
And I know that you know what you do to me,
And everyone else in the room
    You're professional at breaking hearts
    It's so automatic for you
It's like there's a switch that makes you start,
You couldn't turn it off if you wanted to
Like you step into the room and just press play,
Like you step into the room and just press play
No one has to tell you what to do,
    It's automatic
You don't even have to make a move,
    It's automatic
Everybody wants to be with you
It's like you just press play,
    Like you just press play
    You're a heartbreaker,
    And you're a mind eraser
    It's so automatic with you
    I know I should leave
But I can't seem to walk away,
I can't seem to walk away
You could care less about what you do to me,
    But you like it
It's easy to see you're making a fool of me,
There's nothing that I can do
    You're professional at breaking hearts
    It's so automatic for you
I don't know why you make it so hard,
    For someone to love you
Like you step into the room and just press play,
Like you step into the room and just press play
No one has to tell you what to do,
    It's automatic
You don't even have to make a move,
    It's automatic
Everybody wants to be with you
It's like you just press play,
    Like you just press play
    You're a heartbreaker,
    And you're a mind eraser
    It's so automatic with you
    I know I should leave
But I can't seem to walk away,
I can't seem to walk away, away
You need to let your feelings take control,
    Just switch it into manual
You're keeping your heart where I can't have it
    You're so automatic
No one has to tell you what to do,
    It's automatic
You don't even have to make a move,
    It's automatic
Everybody wants to be with you
It's like you just press play,
    Like you just press play
    You're a heartbreaker,
    And you're a mind eraser
