Betty Jo Elliott (née Bradley) is a fictional character on Petticoat Junction, which originally aired on CBS (1963–1970). Unlike the actresses that played her sisters, Betty Jo was played by the same actress for the sitcom's entire run.
Elizabeth Josephine, on the show usually called just Betty Jo, is the youngest daughter of Kate Bradley. She is a sweet and tomboyish redhead, and is the youngest of the Bradley sisters. She and her older sisters, Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo, are known in Hooterville for swimming in the Hooterville Cannonball's water tower. Although not as girlish as her older sisters, she is the eye of Eb Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas's ranch hand on Green Acres, though she doesn't show as much interest in him. Out of the 222 episodes of Petticoat Junction, Betty Jo is present in a total of 220 of them. She doesn't appear in the first season episode "Bobbie Jo and the Beatnik" or the second season episode "Have Library, Will Travel".
In season five, Betty Jo marries pilot Steve Elliott, a boy who first showed a great deal of interest in Billie Jo. After they get married they move to a cottage down the tracks from Hooterville, but move back to the Shady Rest Hotel (her late-mother's hotel) in the show's last season. According to Kate, her mother, Betty Jo's too interested in sports. In some episodes, her Uncle Joe shows favoritism towards her. During Junction's sixth season, Betty Jo gives birth to Kathy Jo. In season seven, it's announced that Kathy Jo is expecting a sibling; but nothing more is said about Betty Jo's second pregnancy.
Bradley is an English surname derived from a place name meaning "broad wood" or "broad clearing" in Old English.
Like many English surnames Bradley can also be used as a given name and as such has become popular.
It is also an Anglicisation of the Irish Gaelic name O’Brolachán (also O’Brallaghan) from County Tyrone in Ireland. The family moved and spread to counties Londonderry, Donegal and Cork, and England.
Bradley is the surname of the following notable people:

The ward elects three councillors to represent the Bradley area, the north-west part of Nelson, on Pendle Borough Council. As of the May 2011 Council election, Bradley had an electorate of 4,581.

The Bradley was an automobile manufactured in Cicero, Illinois, USA, by the Bradley Motor Car Company. Production commenced in 1920 with the Model H tourer, which was powered by a 4 cylinder Lycoming engine, had a 116-inch wheelbase, and a selling price of $1295.
In 1921 the Model H continued in production, but was joined by the 6 cylinder powered Model F, also available as a tourer for $1500.
In November 1920, the company went into involuntary receivership, with liabilities of approximately $100,000. Although the assets held by the company were greater, including finished and party-assembled vehicles, along with a large inventory, the company was bankrupt by the end of 1921. Total production of the Bradley automobile was 263 cars.
