Chaotic Resolve

Chaotic Resolve is the fourth album by Christian singer Plumb which features the songs, "I Can't Do This", "Better", "Bittersweet", "Blush" and "Cut". It also features a remake of Michael W. Smith's song "Pray For Me" and an extended remix of "Damaged" as bonus tracks.

Better (Kim Hyung-jun song)

"Better" (Japanese: ベター) is the second Japanese single by South Korean entertainer Kim Hyung-jun, after "Long Night". It was released on November 19, 2014 on the Swave E&T label. The single was also released on DVD.

Background and development

Before "Better"'s release, Kim was active in Japan in 2013 with the release of "Always Love You" (featuring K-pop vocalist Kota) and in 2011 with the release of "Long Night". During the first half of 2014 he focused on his acting career, appearing on the television series Melody of Love, and gave concerts in South Korea and abroad. In the second half of the year, Kim prepared for the Japanese release of "Better" with diet and exercise.

Description

The song, a combination of hip hop, rap and rhythm and blues, features Baby-J and Park Eun-young and was produced by Han Sang Won.

Release and promotion

On October 10 Kim began a three-day Endless Story tour, organized by the Swave E&T label to promote his upcoming single, in Tokyo and Nagoya. In addition to performing "Better", he introduced its music video before its release. According to a spokesperson, the tour "confirm[ed] Kim Hyung Jun's unchanged popularity" and "[Kim] will gain even more fans after releasing his new single in November".

Mike Hough

Michael Lloyd Hough (born February 6, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played thirteen seasons in the National Hockey League from 1986–87 until 1998–99. Hough was born in Montreal, Quebec, but grew up in Mississauga, Ontario.

Hough was drafted 181st overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He played 707 career NHL games, scoring 100 goals and 156 assists for 256 points. He had his best season in 1991–92 with 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points, despite being sidelined for a month with a broken thumb. He was also the Nordiques' captain during that season.

Quebec traded Hough to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Reggie Savage and Paul MacDermid on June 20, 1993. Four days later, Washington left Hough unprotected for the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft, and he was claimed by the Florida Panthers where he played four seasons. He would be infamously remembered as scoring the goal in double overtime in the fifth game of the Panthers' semifinals series against the Flyers in 1996. This would turn out to be the last goal in the Spectrum. He ended his NHL career with the New York Islanders in 1999 after signing with them as a free agent on July 21, 1997.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is an American animated television series created by Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network Studios. The series, set in a world in which imaginary friends coexist with humans, centers on an eight-year-old boy, Mac, who is pressured by his mother to abandon his imaginary friend, Bloo. After Mac discovers an orphanage dedicated to housing abandoned imaginary friends, Bloo moves into the home and is kept from adoption so long as Mac visits him daily. The episodes revolve around Mac and Bloo as they interact with other imaginary friends and house staff and live out their day-to-day adventures, often getting caught up in various predicaments.

McCracken conceived the series after adopting two dogs from an animal shelter and applying the concept to imaginary friends. The show first premiered on Cartoon Network on August 13, 2004, as a 90-minute television film. On August 20, it began its normal run of twenty-to-thirty-minute episodes on Fridays, at 7 pm. The series finished its run on May 3, 2009, with a total of six seasons and seventy-nine episodes. McCracken left Cartoon Network shortly after the series ended.

Mac (rapper)

McKinley Phipps (born July 30, 1977), better known as Mac, is an American rapper and songwriter from New Orleans' 3rd Ward, and would grow to be one of the most critically acclaimed on Master P's No Limit Records, both as a solo rapper and as a member of the super group 504 Boyz. He also collaborated with rapper B.G. on the album Chopper City released in 1996.

Early Music career

Mac was born Mckinley Phipps in New Orleans, Louisiana. He started his music career as a kid rapper in the year 1990. At 13 years old he made his solo debut album under the name of "Lil Mac", called The Lyrical Midget. The album was one of the earliest commercial hip-hop albums to come out of New Orleans, and featured some production from New Orleans producer Mannie Fresh. It was not very successful though Lil Mac would not be heard from for another 7 years.

Family name

A family name (in Western contexts often referred to as a surname or last name) is typically a part of a person's personal name which, according to law or custom, is passed or given to children from one or both of their parents' family names. The use of family names is common in most cultures around the world, with each culture having its own rules as to how these names are formed, passed and used. But the practice is not universal, with some cultures not using family names (See mononym). Also, in most Slavic countries and in Greece, for example, there are different family name forms for male and female members of the family. Issues of family name arise especially on the passing of a name to a new-born child, on the adoption of a common family name on marriage, on renouncing of a family name and on changing of a family name.

Player (political)

A political player is a participant in politics who has or is perceived to have influence or power, although usually on a smaller level than a global power elite. The phrase may refer to an individual who is a candidate or elected or appointed official, but more commonly refers to someone who is not in office but still wields power or influence, such as a lobbyist, a fundraiser or contributor, a whistleblower, a political consultant, a labor union or labor leader, a corporation, or even an entire industry. More recently, with the rise of the Internet, web-based groups such as Moveon.org and online organizations, like ActBlue, have become political players as well.
