"Best Behaviour" is a song by British hip hop group N-Dubz. The song was produced by Dappy and Fazer and co-written by Tulisa, Mr Hudson, Tony Dixon, Fazer and Dappy. It was released on 17 October 2010 as the second single from N-Dubz's third studio album, Love.Live.Life. Musically, the song is a R&B ballad with prominent British hip hop characteristics. The initial writing consisted of the group being inspired to pen a song for their launch in the United States in addition to Dappy's feelings for his girlfriend, Kaye Vassell. It was inspired by the group's touring lifestyle and their enthusiastic fans. Lyrically, it is about trading one-night stands with people in favour of real love.
The song received moderately positive reviews from contempoarary music critics who praised the song's cute chorus and N-Dubz's change in lyrical tone. It achieved commercial success by becoming the group's third top ten hit in both the United Kingdom and Scotland where it peaked at number ten in addition to garnering N-Dubz's fourth top forty hit in Ireland where it reached a chart position of number thirty-two. The accompanying music video for the song was directed by Ben Peters and was released on 8 September 2010. The bling-inspired video features the group disembarking a private jet, singing at a villa situated in Provence, France and on a yacht moored off St. Tropez. N-Dubz have performed the song at the 2010 MOBO Awards and on various television programmes and concerts including Daybreak and the Orange RockCorps Concert.
N-Dubz were a British hip hop group from Camden Town, London. The group consisted of members Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer.

Their debut album Uncle B was released on 17 November 2008 and debuted at number eleven on the UK Albums Chart. The album has since been certified platinum for shipments of over 300,000 in the UK. Their second album Against All Odds was released on 16 November 2009, which debuted at number 6 in the UK. It went platinum within approximately two months of release. The group announced they would be entering a hiatus in 2011 to concentrate on solo careers.
All three members of N-Dubz were born in Camden Town, north London, and two of them are of Greek-Cypriot heritage. They each attended several different schools, meeting together for the first time when they were about 13 at Haverstock School, and coming together as a group for the first time at about this age under the management of Dino's father, Byron Contostavlos (formerly of Mungo Jerry), who died on 12 April 2007. They had a hard upbringing, living on tough estates and experienced a lot first-hand as teenagers, including violence, depression, drug abuse, extreme financial difficulty, bullying, and gang culture.
lways on your best behavior
Why'd we break up?
Can't remember why
And I was so polite
Couldn't look you in the eye
I go back to that afternoon
The way we kissed
And it ended too soon
Well, what did I say
I didn't mean to push you away
With anybody else it never feels true
How can I explain what I been going through?
No matter what I do it's only you
Every hand hold interlocking
Late night stay up
Softly talking words
I remember the sweetness of your voice
I go back to that afternoon
The way we kissed
And it ended too soon
Well, what did I say
I didn't mean to push you away
With anybody else it never feels true
How can I explain what I been going through?
No matter what I do it's only you
I go out and drink to your health
And I go home, I only hurt myself
So I sing this song in faith it finds you
Have a hope the kind you can't forget
But I'm still holding on
Maybe we can still be friends
I go back to that afternoon
The way we kissed
And it ended too soon
Well, what did I say
I'll never push you away
With anybody else it never feels true
How can I explain what I been going through?
No matter what I do it's only you
Meet me there in that afternoon oh
The longest day
The 21st of June oh
Well, what did I say
I'll never push you away
With anybody else it never feels true
How can I explain what I been going through?
No matter what I do it's only you
No matter what I do it's only you
