Beeri

According to the Book of Hosea, Beeri (Hebrew: בְּאֵרִי‎ Bə’êrî, "my well") was the father of the prophet Hosea. Jewish tradition says that he only uttered a few words of prophecy, and as they were insufficient to be embodied in a book by themselves, they were incorporated in the Book of Isaiah, viz., verses 19 and 20 of the 8th chapter. As such, Beeri is considered a prophet in Judaism. Beeri was sometimes identified with Beerah (1 Chronicles 5:6), who was taken into exile by the Assyrians.

Another Beeri was the father of Judith, one of the wives of Esau (Genesis 26:34), the same as Adah (Gen. 36:2).

In Hebrew, the word "Be'e'ri" literally means "my well" as in a well of water—an important source of life in the desert. He is also considered holy by Muslims.

National Academy for Educational Management

NAEM, illustrated as National Academy for Educational Management, is an affiliated academy to the Ministry of Education, the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. This academy is dedicated to conducting training on education management, research and planning to ensure quality education in the country. NAEM provides in-service training to the heads of secondary schools, principals of colleges and education administrators for enhancing their professional efficiency in educational planning and management in order to achieve their institutional objectives.

History

The metamorphosis of NAEM dates back to 1959 when it was established as Education Extension Centre. After the emergence of Bangladesh, the centre was upgraded and entitled as Bangladesh Education Extension and Research Institute (BEERI) in 1975. The BEERI was entrusted with additional responsibility for research and management training of education functionaries including college and Madrasa teachers and administrators.
