"Beat of My Heart" is a song recorded by American singer Hilary Duff for her first compilation album, Most Wanted (2005). It was written by Duff and the Dead Executives, a record production team consisting of Jason Epperson, Joel and Benji Madden. Along with the three other new songs on Most Wanted, "Beat of My Heart" was crafted with the intention of having a "totally different sound" from Duff's previous material. It is an up-tempo new wave-inspired electropop song that incorporates elements of bubblegum pop and dance music in its production. Lyrically, "Beat of My Heart" can be interpreted in many different ways. For Duff, it tells the story of a woman "com[ing] out of her shell again" after a bad break-up.
Following the success of "Wake Up", "Beat of My Heart" was issued as the second international single from Most Wanted. It was released in Australia by Festival Mushroom Records on December 11, 2005 and in several European countries on March 6, 2006, by Angel Records. The single was a moderate commercial success. It managed to chart in four different countries, reaching its highest position in Italy, where it peaked at number eight. In addition, it reached the top twenty in Australia and Spain and the low-end of the chart in Switzerland. Critical reaction to "Beat of My Heart" was generally mixed, with many criticizing the song for being repetitive and childish, while others gave it credit for presenting an easy-to-listen-to sound.

Charles Eddie-Lee Hamilton, Jr. (born November 10, 1987), is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from Harlem, New York City, New York. Hamilton gained major recognition after being featured on the cover of the XXL's 2009 Freshmen cover issue and signing a record deal with Interscope Records, in 2008.
Hamilton was raised in Harlem, New York, Hamilton was exposed to music at an early age. "My mother was an entertainment journalist for the Cleveland Call and Post, so she would take me with her to events when I was just a baby." Hamilton stated his mother always made sure he had an instrument around him. His mother put different kinds of instruments in the basement of their Cleveland home, but he naturally gravitated to the keyboard. Hamilton has stated, "At first, I was just playing the rhythm of the songs I would hear... The older I got, the more proficient I got at hearing the notes." All We Know Is Falling is the debut studio album by the American rock band Paramore, released on July 26, 2005. According to Paramore's A&R at Atlantic Records, Steve Robertson, instead of giving the debut album a major radio promotional push, he believed the band should start small and slowly build through word of mouth. In his own words, Robertson "wanted kids to discover the band without it being shoved down their throats."
The album reached No. 8 on the UK Rock Chart. In the USA, it reached No. 30 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, but failed to chart on the Billboard 200. The album produced three singles, "Pressure", "Emergency", and "All We Know", but all three failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The album then became a sleeper success after the success of the band's second album, Riot! in 2007 and in July 2014, nearly nine years after its release, All We Know Is Falling received gold certification from the RIAA.
In September 2005, a special Japanese edition containing the previously unreleased "Oh, Star" was made available. On May 26, 2009, a deluxe edition of the album was released exclusively on iTunes with 2 live tracks and 3 music videos.
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
I'm thinking about, letting it out
I wanna give in, I wanna go out
Been looking around, I finally found
The rhythm of love, the feeling of sound
It's making a change, the feeling is strange
It's coming right back, right back in my range
Not worried about, anything else
I'm wakin' up
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, it tears us apart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, now I'm back to the start
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
I'm up from my down, I turn it around
I'm making it back, I'm not gonna drown
I'm taking a stance, I won't miss a chance
I want you to see, I'm not scared to dance
The way that you feel, could never be real
I want you to know, I finished the deal
So I'm sayin' to you, I'll always be true
To the rhythm inside
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, it tears us apart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, now I'm back to the start
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
Away, away, away, away
Away, away, away, away
Away, away, away, away
(To the beat of my, to the beat of my heart)
Away, away, away, away
(To the beat of my, to the beat of my heart)
Beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, it tears us apart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, now I'm back to the start
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, it tears us apart
The beat of my heart, the beat of my heart
The beat of my heart, now I'm back to the start
To the beat of my, to the beat of my
To the beat of my heart
Away, away, away, away
(To the beat of my, to the beat of my heart)
Away, away, away, away
(To the beat of my, to the beat of my heart)
