Bears FC

Bears Football Club (Bears FC) is a football club based in Nassau, Bahamas. Bears FC plays in BFA Senior League in Bahamas.

History

In 1996 Anton Sealey upon being elected president of The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) on taking office set as his administrations priorities:

In pursuance of priority two, with a grant from the company with whom he worked, Insurance Management Bahamas Ltd., he began teaching soccer at Queen's College on Saturdays to a group of young players predominantly attending Queen's College. The sessions which began with twelve youngsters grew steadily each week. At the same time Fred Lunn and his brother Lionel, together with current BFA general secretary Lionel Haven and BFA Vice-President Stanley Darville began a similar program at The College of The Bahamas field in Oakes Field, called Get Kickin' As both schools or camps as they were called expanded outgrowing their resources, Anton and Fred saw the wisdom of combining their resources to more effectively deliver quality instruction to their charges, thus the Insurance Management Youth Football Club was born.

Bear

Bears are mammals of the family Ursidae. Bears are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans, with the pinnipeds being their closest living relatives. Although only eight species of bears are extant, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere. Bears are found on the continents of North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Common characteristics of modern bears include large bodies with stocky legs, long snouts, shaggy hair, plantigrade paws with five nonretractile claws, and short tails. While the polar bear is mostly carnivorous, and the giant panda feeds almost entirely on bamboo, the remaining six species are omnivorous with varied diets.

With the exception of courting individuals and mothers with their young, bears are typically solitary animals. They are generally diurnal, but may be active during the night (nocturnal) or twilight (crepuscular), particularly around humans. Bears possess an excellent sense of smell and, despite their heavy build and awkward gait, are adept runners, climbers, and swimmers. In autumn, some bear species forage large amounts of fermented fruits, which affects their behaviour. Bears use shelters, such as caves and burrows, as their dens; most species occupy their dens during the winter for a long period (up to 100 days) of sleep similar to hibernation.

Bears is a 2014 nature documentary film about a family of brown bears living in the coastal mountain ranges of Alaska. Directed by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey and narrated by John C. Reilly, Bears was released theatrically by Disneynature on April 18, 2014, making it the studio's seventh nature documentary.

Plot

An Alaskan brown bear mother named Sky gives birth to two cubs named Amber and Scout in her den on a mountain slope. When April comes the bears will be ready to leave the den. As the bears leave the oncoming summer brings with it a threat of avalanches. Fortunately the bears are able to avoid disaster. Upon reaching the lush valley below, the cubs meet the other bears, some of which pose a threat to the cubs; among these bears are Magnus, a big healthy male, and Chinook, an older male. The family works together to survive the spring, with Sky keeping the cubs safe from Tikaani, a pesky gray wolf. The cubs get to know how to defend themselves in encounters with Tikaani. Also the family must stay clear of the frequent dominance fights between Magnus and Chinook.

F&C Asset Management Plc is an asset management company and is part of BMO Global Asset Management.

History

The Company was founded in 1972 as the manager of the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust under the name F&C Management Limited.

In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.

In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.

On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.

F&C (eroge maker)

F&C is an eroge maker, one of the long-established store makers which exist from the beginning of H game history. It is said that the origin of the company name is each initial of Fairytale and Cocktail Soft. They released first title "Fairy Tale" from Fairytale in 1987, and made another brand called Cocktail Soft in 1989. In 1997, they changed company name from "Ides" to current name. In 2001, they re-styled into 3 teams, called "FC01", "FC02" and "FC03"(Now Dreamsoft). At this time, Cocktail Soft announced the activity pause.
