BDE may refer to:
Borland Database Engine (BDE) is the Windows-based core database engine and connectivity software behind Borland Delphi, C++Builder, IntraBuilder, Paradox for Windows, and Visual dBASE for Windows.
Borland’s Turbo Pascal had a "database" Toolbox add-on, it was the beginning of the Borland compiler add-ons that facilitated database connectivity. Then came the Paradox Engine for Windows – PXENGWIN – which could be compiled into a program to facilitate connectivity to Paradox tables.
The first DLL-based connectivity engine was ODAPI (Open Database API). It represented Borland’s attempt to centralise connectivity in its suite of applications which included the brand-new Paradox for Windows 4 and Quattro. With version 4.5 / 5.0 of Paradox for Windows, this database engine was crystallised as IDAPI.
In 2000, Borland introduced a new SQL driver architecture called dbExpress, which deprecated BDE SQL links technology.
In 2014, Embarcadero removed the BDE installer from its Rad Studio XE7 install, making it a separate download in order to strengthen the message that the BDE has been deprecated for a number of years. Programmers using the BDE are encouraged to update their software to use newer database connectivity technologies like Embarcadero's FireDAC, or third party provided solutions.
USS Brackett (DE-41) was an Evarts-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy during World War II. She was sent off into the Pacific Ocean to protect convoys and other ships from Japanese submarines and fighter aircraft. She performed escort and anti-submarine operations in dangerous battle areas and sailed home proudly displaying three battle stars.
She was laid down as BDE-41 on 12 January 1943 at Bremerton, Washington, by the Puget Sound Navy Yard; redesignated DE-41 on 16 June 1943; launched on 1 August 1943; sponsored by Mrs. George G. Brackett, the mother of Lt. Brackett; and commissioned on 18 October 1943, Lt. John H. Roskilly, Jr., in command.
The destroyer escort reported to the Operational Training Command in San Diego, California, on 12 November for shakedown training. Post-shakedown repairs were completed on 15 December, and Brackett took on provisions before departing San Francisco on 21 December. Eight days later, she moored at Pearl Harbor and immediately commenced training for her part in the invasion of the Marshall Islands.
[Verse 1:]
I never take a day off, work around the clock
My engineer gettin' paid off
Rock like aseop, light the weed and take off
So high I cannot see Adolf
Now I got these rappers all breakin up a sweat
Cause everytime I get up on the mic I come correct
And I learned it from the best, always dressed in something fresh
Lookin' for a little dime, big butt and nice chest
Yes, they heard I used to rock guess
But now I'm rocking clothes that ain't in the stores yet
Travel back in time, I'm in a vortex
Trying to make it work out think I need more reps
Used to take the bus now the boy board jets
Cause kids got me buzzing like a fucking hornet
They say I got next, tell em that I got now
It's all Disney, boy my family proud
Make 'em say ow, make 'em say oh
The hoes that tell me yes, the same ones that tell ya no
Whoa, I ain't just an average joe,
Way above the average flow, boy my life is most dope
[Chorus:]
No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile
Pursuit to be happy only laughing like a child
I never thought life would be this sweet
It got me cheesing from cheek to cheek
And I ain't get away for nothing cause that just ain't my style
Life couldn't get better, this gon' be the best day ever
[Verse 2:]
If it ain't about the dream, than it ain't about me
Gon' a couple four weeks without a good night's sleep
Imagination, making, musical creation
The journey that I'm facing plus the paper that I'm chasing
Got me crazy after sane with the lames I see you hating
But there's nothing that can change it, thumbs up I'm maintaining
No complaining when it's raining, I'll be in another zone
Move out my mothers home to a world I call my own
I ain't gonna play around no more
Find the difference from the ground and the floor
If we gotta fight, I'll be down for the war
Thumbs up, homie I'll be sure
[Chorus:]
No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile
Pursuit to be happy only laughing like a child
I never thought life would be this sweet
It got me cheesing from cheek to cheek
And I ain't get away for nothing cause that just ain't my style
