Barry Allen may refer to:

Barry Allen (musician)

Barry Allen is an award-winning Canadian rock musician and record producer/engineer. His career in music began as a guitarist and backup singer for Wes Dakus. In the early 1960s, he was discovered by producer Norman Petty, who arranged for Allen to record solo albums. In 1965, Allen signed with Capitol Records, where he recorded two singles and his debut album; that year, he won the Gold Leaf Award for Most Promising Male Vocalist.

In 1966, the title track from his second album, Lovedrops, went gold. In 1967, he recorded two more singles; however, sales figures were not to Capitol's liking, and he was released from his contract. In 1970, he released a third album, this time via MCA Records.

In 2012, the Super Oldies label reissued Allen's original material along with unreleased tracks on a two-CD set "Clovis Collection" as well as a first-time stereo issue of his debut "Goin' Places" in 2013.

Flash (Barry Allen)

The Flash (Barry Allen) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Barry Allen is the second character known as Flash. The character first appeared in Showcase #4 (October 1956), created by writer Robert Kanigher and penciler Carmine Infantino. His name combines talk show hosts Barry Gray and Steve Allen.

His death in 1985 in Crisis on Infinite Earths removed the character from the regular DC lineup for 23 years. His return to regular comics occurred subsequently in 2008 within the pages of Grant Morrison's Final Crisis and Geoff Johns' The Flash: Rebirth limited series. In 2011, Allen played a key role of the crossover mini-series Flashpoint, which resulted in another reboot of the DC Comics continuity, known as "The New 52". Allen has appeared in various adaptations in other media, John Wesley Shipp played the character in the 1990 CBS television series and Grant Gustin currently plays the character in the 2014 CW television series. He will be played by Ezra Miller in the DC Extended Universe.
