Barnet F.C.

Barnet Football Club /ˈbɑːrnɪt/ is an English professional football club based in Barnet, London. However, the team currently plays at The Hive Stadium, situated in Edgware. The team plays in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. The current head coach is Martin Allen.

Between 1907 and 2013 the club played at Underhill Stadium, situated in the town of Barnet within the London Borough of Barnet. The club moved to The Hive Stadium, situated in Edgware in the London Borough of Harrow, for the 2013–14 season.

Under manager Barry Fry, Barnet won the Conference and promotion to The Football League in 1991, spending the 1993–94 season in the third tier. In 2001 they were relegated back to non-league, winning the Conference again in the 2004–05 season to return to the Football League after an absence of four years, where they remained until they were relegated back to the Conference in 2012–13. They ascended as champions two years later.

A number of Barnet players have gone on to represent Premier League clubs. They include Dougie Freedman, Marlon King, Andy Clarke, Linvoy Primus, Maik Taylor, Mark Gower, Jason Puncheon and Yannick Bolasie. Players who came to the club towards the end of their careers including Jimmy Greaves, Mark Lawrenson, David Hillier, Alan Pardew, Eddie Newton, Paul Warhurst, Steve Kabba, John Oster, Jonathan Fortune, Edgar Davids and Lee Cook.

Barnet is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,708 at the 2010 census. Barnet contains the locations of Barnet Center, East Barnet, McIndoe Falls, Mosquitoville, Passumpsic and West Barnet. The main settlement of Barnet is recorded as a census-designated place by the U.S. Census Bureau, with a population of 129 at the 2010 census.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 43.6 square miles (112.9 km²), of which 42.2 square miles (109.4 km²) is land and 1.3 square miles (3.4 km²), or 3.04%, is water. The Barnet CDP, comprising the town center, has a total area of 0.64 square miles (1.66 km²), of which 0.62 square miles (1.61 km²) is land and 0.019 square miles (0.05 km²), or 2.96%, is water.

The eastern border of the town is the Connecticut River, which is also the boundary between Vermont and New Hampshire. The Passumpsic River enters the Connecticut at East Barnet. Neighboring communities are Ryegate to the south, Groton to the southwest, Peacham to the west, Danville to the northwest, St. Johnsbury to the north, and Waterford, Vermont, to the northeast. Across the Connecticut River is the New Hampshire town of Monroe.

APOEL FC (Greek: ΑΠΟΕΛ; short for Αθλητικός Ποδοσφαιρικός Όμιλος Ελλήνων Λευκωσίας, Athletikos Podosferikos Omilos Ellinon Lefkosias, "Athletic Football Club of Greeks of Nicosia") is a professional football club based in Nicosia, Cyprus. APOEL is the most popular football team in Cyprus and they are the most successful with an overall tally of 24 championships, 21 cups and 13 super cups.

APOEL's greatest moment in the European competitions occurred in the season 2011–12, when the club participated in the group stages of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League (along with F.C. History

The Company was founded in 1972 as the manager of the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust under the name F&C Management Limited.

In 1985 the Company started managing third party funds. In 1989 the Company established a partnership with Germany’s HypoVereinsbank who acquired a 50% stake in the business; this stake was increased to 90% in 1998. In 2000 Eureko purchased HypoVereinsbank’s 90% stake and in 2001 went on to secure 100% control and consolidate their asset management activities with those of the Company under the F&C brand.

In 2004 ISIS Asset Management merged with F&C Management Limited to form F&C Asset Management and the combined business was then listed on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2008 Friends Provident announced its intention to divest its shareholding in F&C Asset Management. This was completed in 2009.

On 7 May 2014, F&C Asset Management plc was acquired by Bank of Montreal through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited.
