Barkam

Barkam (Tibetan: འབར་ཁམས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར།, Wylie: 'bar khams grong khyer, simplified Chinese: 马尔康市; traditional Chinese: 馬爾康市; pinyin: Mǎ'ěrkāng Shì; ) is a county-level city in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, in the northwest of Sichuan province, People's Republic of China. The city seat is the town of Barkam.

Nearly two-thirds of the annual precipitation of 786 mm (30.9 in) occurs from June to September. Diurnal temperature variation is large, averaging 15.9 °C (28.6 °F) annually.
