Badnera is a town in Amravati district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Badnera has two parts named as Juni Basti (Old Town) and nai Basti (New Town). Juni Basti is famous for the Dargah of Hazrat Almas Shah Urf Kamli Wale Bawa. Every year Urs is celebrated in the month of April and May. Badnera is also known for Hindu Muslim Unity. People belonging to both the communities live here peacefully and co-operate with one another.
Road: It is also connected with AMT city bus from Amravati. It is well connected with MSRTC buses.
Rail:Badnera Railway Station is major railway station in Amravati. All major train are stop here.It is situated on the Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line, Badnera railway station, a junction station, offers connections to Pune,Nagpur,Mumbail and it has link to Amravati and one branch line to narkhed which connect Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line and Delhi-Chennai line.
Badnera (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is one of the 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and one of the eight which are located in Amravati district.
It is a part of the Amravati (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other Vidhan Sabha assembly constituencies, viz. Amravati, Teosa, Daryapur (SC), Melghat (ST) and Achalpur.
The remaining two Dhamangaon Railway and Morshi constituencies are part of the Wardha (Lok Sabha constituency) in the adjoining Wardha district.
As per orders of Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 37 Badnera (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following:
1. Amravati Tehsil (Part), Revenue Circle – Amravati and Badnera, 2. Amravati (M.Corp.)–Ward No. 6 to 18, 32 to 40, 57 to 61, 72,73, 3. Bhatkuli Tehsil (Part), Revenue Circle – Bhatkuli and Nimbha. of the district.
