Kim Jae-wook

Kim Jae Wook (Hangul: 김재욱; hanja: 金材昱) was born on 2 April 1983. He is a South Korean model and actor.

Biography

Jae Wook was born in Seoul, South Korea, but his family went to Japan later on. Kim Jae Wook grew up in Japan until he was 7 years old, then returned to Korea. He started out performing in a band, but when he was 17, he started to model. Due to the time he spent in Japan, he can speak fluent Japanese.

In 2002, Jae Wook debuted in the role of a member of an indie band, in the MBC drama Ruler of Your Own World. After the first role, he concentrated on his modeling career.

In 2007, he auditioned for and won the role No Sun-ki in the 2007 hit drama series The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince, more commonly known as just Coffee Prince, which made him more popular in South Korea and several Asian countries. This role allowed him to use his Japanese language skills. He later appeared in the 2008 drama The Kingdom of The Winds.

Jae Wook served as the ambassador of goodwill for the 9th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) in May, 2008.

Oh Yeon-soo

Oh Yeon-soo (born October 27, 1971) is a South Korean actress.

Career

Oh Yeon-soo made her debut in 1989 among a batch of actors who passed an open audition by broadcaster MBC, and she soon became popular for her innocent image. But since her marriage to fellow actor Son Ji-chang, Oh has had a career renaissance doing more mature roles. She played a single mother who rediscovers love in A Second Proposal, a discontented housewife in a rivalry with a top ballerina in The Queen Returns, and was cast as strong, supporting characters in the historical dramas Jumong, and Gyebaek. But Oh became best known for memorably portraying married women exploring adultery in the dark melodramas La Dolce Vita, and Bad Guy.

Bad Guy (Hangul: 나쁜 남자; RR: Nappeun namja) is a 2010 South Korean melodrama television series, starring Kim Nam-gil, Han Ga-in, Kim Jae-wook, Oh Yeon-soo and Jung So-min. Directed by Lee Hyung-min, it aired on SBS from May 26 to August 5, 2010 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 17 episodes.

Plot

In one night, Gun-wook (Kim Nam-gil) lost everything because of the Hong family. They took him in, believing he was President Hong's illegitimate son Tae-sung, and then cast him aside into the streets when it turned out to be a mistake. Years later, Gun-wook returns for revenge, taking down the Hongs and their Haeshin corporation step by step. The real Hong Tae-sung (Kim Jae-wook) and sisters Mo-ne (Jung So-min) and Tae-ra (Oh Yeon-soo) are all chess pieces in his impeccable revenge plan, but he never planned on meeting and falling in love with the smart and equally ambitious Jae-in (Han Ga-in).

Kim Nam-gil

Kim Nam-gil (Hangul: 김남길; born March 13, 1981) is a South Korean actor. He is best known for playing Bidam in the hit period drama Queen Seondeok (2009).

Career

Kim Nam-gil began his acting career on television with a minor role in the 1999 KBS youth drama School 1. Four years later, he won the 2003 Talent Audition conducted annually by MBC, and appeared in various minor roles on the network's shows, such as Be Strong, Geum-soon!. During this time, he was using the stage name Lee Han, which he made up to give himself a more sophisticated image (The name Nam-gil is considered to be somewhat old fashioned).

In 2006, Kim made the bold decision to portray a homosexual character in the controversial queer indie No Regret in a role which included several gay sex scenes. The film was critically praised and traveled the film festival circuit, but it failed to boost Kim's popularity. Instead, he continued taking on more supporting roles in television dramas, among them Goodbye Solo, Lovers, and When Spring Comes.

Han Ga-in

Han Ga-in (born Kim Hyun-joo on February 2, 1982) is a South Korean actress. She starred in television series Yellow Handkerchief and Terms of Endearment early in her career, and became a sought-after model in commercials. Her projects in 2012 were hugely successful, with her period drama Moon Embracing the Sun topping the TV ratings chart, and her film Architecture 101 becoming a box office hit.

Career

As a high school student, Han Ga-in appeared on a TV quiz show and was also captured in footage of interviews with other students. Entertainment bigwigs spotted her in the news clip and immediately went to her school to offer her a part. She debuted in an Asiana Airlines commercial in 2002, and was cast in the KBS2 drama Sunshine Hunting. KBS Drama Awards named her best new actress in 2003 for Yellow Handkerchief, and best actress for Terms of Endearment in 2004.

She soon became one of the most sought-after faces in the TV commercial industry. But despite her early success, Han struggled to overcome her image as strictly a pretty face rather than a serious actress. Over the past decade of drama appearances, the popular actress repeatedly played familiar characters and her performances failed to wow audiences.
